It's not the update that caused it. Prior to updating the PS5, I couldn't upload saves or play any online game.

...it happened to me, but there is a fix(works on me). Just change your account to other regions and then change it back your main account.
Seemed okay here in South Wales in the UK, I was just logged in around 10 mins ago (1:45pm).
