Elden Ring Invaders Hack Alters Save File That Causes Death Loop on PC, Solution Outlined

An Elden Ring invaders hack has surfaced, and it's said that these hackers alter the invadee's save file that causes infinite falling/death loop! Here's a way to fix it

Yet another good reason for me to keep the game in offline mode unless I'm playing co-op. I find it so crazy you can't customize what parts of online you want. Co-op, yes. Messages, maybe. Invasions, no thank you. And 100% don't invade me while I'm playing co-op.

It's already annoying when one of you dies in order to re-join, and the fact invasions can happen when you're fighting a world boss just seems unnecessary. Though one person invaded while I was playing with a friend right before we were going to face off against a boss, so I triggered the fight and ran back a ways. The boss killed them, and I felt great joy lol.

I would agree if it wasn’t for the option to have pvp cops jump into your world. I’ve had some pretty hilarious experiences so far being invaded. But one thing is I get invaded WAY more then my friends.

I am 158 and can typically handle the invaders on my own but I’ve seen some pretty unique things that make it a great experience in its own.

This is one of the many reasons, Rockstar releases on consoles first. Hackers are going to hack.

Bladesfist1542d ago

Why would Rockstar care, this just means they can get an increased amount of revenue by banning hackers and getting them to keep buying a copy of the game every month or so.

The problem is these hackers aren't just having fun for themselves, they can and do ruin the game for other people, by altering their stats and such. Sometimes causing permanent damage to other players profiles.

Another reason why I have no interest in gaming in pc.

why is that dumb? It's the same price everywhere else.

repsahj61d ago

Because it's Nintendo. Post negative first before analizing.

LiViNgLeGaCY61d ago

Because this is the ONLY version you can buy on the S2, correct? I don't think you can buy just the game for $60 like the other platforms. And if I'm wrong about this, then I take it back.

LiViNgLeGaCY61d ago

@repsahj - Dude, shut up. I like Nintendo a lot, actually. I just want the option to get the base game for $60 WITHOUT the DLC. I've done plenty of "analyzing".

Neonridr62d ago

Before anyone complains, this is the same price on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam. It comes with the Game and the DLC.

Elda62d ago

The game is $40 & the expansion is $40 so the price is right.

VersusDMC62d ago

The standard edition physical should have been 40 then with the expansion seperate. Why normalize 80 dollar games? Specially ports of old games.

If people accept this might as well make physical 80 dollar deluxe versions only.

repsahj61d ago

This $80 version is also available on PS5 and XSX.

VersusDMC61d ago

@repsahj

The ps5 has the standard version and the 80$ version so it gives you the choice...on switch 2 physical you can only buy the 80 dollar version.

I guess since they got the data that less than half of elden ring players beat the game and would probably not buy the DLC, they decided to just not make it an option and charge more...

Like it or not, the vast majority of game sales are digital. Just like movies, and music. At least Gamekey cards are shareable and you can sell them.
