Bandai Namco and FromSoftware decided to delay Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 in order to improve the game's performance on that platform.
What a name for a title with bad performance right now. Yup Tarnished Edition is about right. They made the right choice to delay this game.
This has somehow messed up my game. When starting the game it now says "The game version and save data version are different. Please quit the game and sign in to Playstation Network to update game data to the latest." and it won't let me proceed. When i quit and try to update it just says its already updated to the latest version. This is on ps5 it might have been because when i turned on my ps5 I was already in the game, it asked to update and i accepted. Now i can't play for now at least. Really hoping i won't have to delete my save. I'm 40hours in :( ........... i already tried reinstalling.
I don't have the game yet but that added map markers for npcs seem to be huge frustration prevention element.

Wish they would fix the online mode bug on PS4 that kicks you out back to the main menu when you come back out of rest mode or from the home PS menu back into the game.
No improvements to performance ... :(
