
Dead by Daylight’s next update is on the way, adding Sadako from Ringu – which Western audiences will know as The Ring – as the new killer. There are now over 30 DLCs available for Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror game – at least doubling the content that was available at launch. So, is it time for a sequel? In an interview with The Loadout, Dead by Daylight’s creative director Dave Richard confirms that there are no plans for a new Dead by Daylight game.
Dead by Daylight has been around for six years now and we asked Richard how long the original game will continue to be updated and whether there were any plans for the studio to release a full-on Dead by Daylight 2.

Maybe they could end up doing an upgraded version with the new consoles in mind, updating graphics while keeping the DLC intact? A sequel would probably be difficult with all the licensing of all the DLCs but at the same time, not including all the licensed killers would be a huge downer. Still, it seems to have a high enough player base to keep going and is certainly the premier horror game of choice for multiplayer.
