Fans of FromSoftware’s games know that sometimes methods of traversal are less than ideal. Bloodborne’s long ladders that stretch a dozen floors of a building suddenly spring to mind. But when it comes to the developer’s often awkwardly long elevators, Elden Ring has taken the biscuit. That’s because buried within the game is the longest elevator ride in any FromSoftware game, lasting an excruciating one minute and six seconds.
Previously, the record was held by Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, with an elevator that lasted around about 36 seconds. This one in Elden Ring is almost double that. Some of Bloodborne’s ladders were pretty long, but we believe this is the longest elevator ride in the series.

Praise the journey.
It reminded me of the ladder in MGS3. Definitely need a song to help pass the time.
