The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

NE: "We predict all of the possible announcements and games Nintendo could release for The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary."
How about the original Legend of Zelda remade with the Echoes of Wisdom engine. Maybe throw in added dungeons, or expand the map to make the game longer than the original.

There are some video game locations which hit you right in the feels. Are these the most emotional places in gaming to visit? Jump Dash Roll counts down 9 destinations in today's feature.
Is the OoT screenshot a comp of hyrule field with the Windows Vista desktop layered over the foreground?
Is this really surprising to anyone? Everyone knows the console is riddled with casual crap. That's less the fault of the console though, and more the fault of terrible developers and stupid consumers. You don't judge a console based on its worst games, so why bother?
The list of "good" games is pretty weak though. Couldn't some third-party games like Geometry Wars: Galaxies, de Blob, Boom Blox, and Blast Works have been mentioned?
For a new console owner - ten good titles is good enough reason. OK - not for me - I already own around 30 to 40 PS3 titles. But then - I have 4 kids.
But for those with small kids - Wii is good enough - and it is the buzz for kids at the moment. Most PS3 titles is not for little kids. Big mistake from Sony and MS. They focused on the "hardcore" gamer with 16+ age titles. Left the door wide open for the biggest market - kids. And Ninty is laughing all the way to the bank. Well done.
Learn from my experience with MAME. Elevator, Pacman, Galaga, Qix etc... for my kids it was just ..crazy cool games.
Advice to Sony... license some of those old arcade games and bundle it with a PS3 - or put them on PSN. Or preload PS3 with Pacman, Space Invaders, Galaga, Elevator, Lock 'n Chase, Donkey Kong, Frogger... some Spectrum clasics like Manic Miner, Highway Encounter etc. Simple playable games. The just-one-more-go games like Tetris.
Quit stating some obvious shiit, thats the first rule to being a good writer.
