MP1st takes an in-depth look at Horizon Forbidden West and how it evolves the Decima Engine comparing it to Death Stranding, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

It has been reported that PlayStation's Horizon series, which began in 2017 with Zero Dawn, has now passed 40 million in sales.
Spread across two main entries of the franchise, it just is a very respectable success, isn't it.
Although I personally didn't click with the Horizon games, I can a) clearly see the appeal of it. From art direction and technical brilliance.
And b) - I am so happy for Guerilla Games that they've created an IP that's finally been giving financial success back to them and SIE.
Joining the company's club of tens of millions of copies being sold like Spiderman, God of War or The Last of Us did.
All "Big Five" studios at Playstation are on par. Which is just great and hopefully just contributes to a healthy work environment between all of them.
It's a great series but the 2nd game just went over lard with some nonsense story decisions. Hopefully the 3rd game comes full circle and gives the lone tike fans a great end to the story. 1st game is the best and 2nd is very good. It's the same writer who wrote fallout new Vegas so I have high hopes for a strong finish
Honestly I'm a huge fan of the franchise so i'm glad to see the success. I feel like the games and IP get a lot of unwarranted stick.

Death Stranding is coming to streaming in the form of a new animated series.
Interesting read. I love to see how these artists and technical wizards iterate and improve with each release. I wish more game companies would focus on making huge improvements like these instead of the nearly unnoticeable changes we see yearly in some series (I'm looking at you The Show).
Overall, FW is a visual masterpiece. I've never by so wowed by nearly every aspect of a game visually. The only thing I really hope they add is something like a darker night mode. Nights in the game just don't hold a candle to days visually, and it seems like they tried to hard to give them character with weird colored filters and fog everywhere. Would love to see at least an occasionally clear black sky instead of purple, blue, or pink glowing hazy nights.
It is the most beatiful game ive ever seen. The world is so full and Rich. The machines feel very threating as they charge you and destroy enviroment as they tumble. the audio with avr surround 7.1 is very good, superb good. Good surround audio gives more immersion than any graphical trick. Most of all it is very addicting with brilliant story.
This game is visually stunning. I love the moss and ambient sounds of nature. The water is some of the best I’ve ever seen in a game and the mountains with clouds atop are beautiful. This is easily the best looking game I’ve ever played.
Overall I think the game looks good. The plants etc look especially nice. The one thing that surprises me tho, especially on ps5 is how much pop-in there is - mostly in the vegetation. Aside from that tho it’s pretty nice. To me tho the most graphically impressive game I have played on ps5 so far is still Ratchet and Clank. That game truly feels like a next gen game.
Such a great looking game. Fantastic art and the engine seems so well made.
