Sifu Review - IGN

Sifu's brutal learning curve and unique structure that requires you to beat it in just one lifetime are significant barriers to overcome, but on the other side is truly one of the best modern action games around.

Nyxus1563d ago

For those who missed it, there will also be a physical version in May: https://twitter.com/SifuGam...

Phoenix0291562d ago

Think I’d rather wait for that also any bugs will be sorted by then

phoenixwing1562d ago

Well it seems most of the major reviewers liked it. Not unanimous though which means it may not get a sequel.

GhostofHorizon1562d ago

It's sitting at 81 on metacritic right now, if that's not good, I don't know what is. The only real complaint about it I've seen is coming from people who think the game is too hard but this is one of those games that takes time to learn and master, much like the souls-type games.

TGGJustin1562d ago

I gave the game an 8.5 but it has issues and I fully understand the lower scores it has gotten. Unlike From Software games a lot of the enemy attacks in this game are hard to tell what they are going to do leading to it feeling like a lot of luck. From Software games enemies have clear tells once you learn them. The camera is also problematic at times.

blackblades1562d ago

Wow these days people think everything is hard. Returnal and now this these people aint real gamers if they keep thinking games are to hard and dobt wanna learn.

Lightning771562d ago (Edited 1562d ago )

The game has high scores all across the board what Do you mean?

elazz1562d ago

Unfortunately preload issues for the special edition. Wished I could play now since don't have much time during the week.
Hopefully it will be sorted soon. Overall 81/100 with one review really bringing down the average with at least 2 or 3 points. Seems like a good game. I love the style.

Tedakin1562d ago

Never even heard of this till today. About time we got a good old style beat em up.

blackblades1562d ago

How is this the 1st time you heard of this, where you been at in a cave

Gamer751562d ago (Edited 1562d ago )

Maybe they aren't into this type of game and that's why they didn't know anything about it as that's the case for me

blackblades1562d ago

@Gamer its been shown on Sony showcases most of them.

Gamer751562d ago

I don't watch them due to working long hours and I don't have enough time to look them up

blackblades1562d ago (Edited 1562d ago )

Sounds like a you problem, it's been shown on here as well and you be on here as well. No excuse

Tedakin1562d ago (Edited 1562d ago )

I'm sorry everyone. I apologize for not having heard of an indie game until today. This appears to be very troubling for some. I'll work harder to keep a mental list of every game coming and its release date in the future.

..... eyeroll.

All the wussies complaining about difficulty need to get a diaper. Try playing Ninja gaiden black on Hard difficulty than come complain.

ChubbyBlade1562d ago

Yea I’m getting really tired of people whining about difficulty. Learn the damn game or learn it’s not for you. Not every game needs to be a hand holdy easy romp, even on the hardest difficulty (looking at you infinite) like most games these days.

I like challenge. I don’t like mind numbing flashy ness on screen that means nothing but I pushed a button.

ClayRules20121562d ago

I agree. I am not one who generally plays difficult games, but my fiancé (who’s not too much of a gamer like myself) but enjoys select ones, has amazed me recently. She enjoys a challenge as well, and is currently playing God of War 2018 on the “Give me God of War” difficulty, and has done really well. I can’t play the game like that. I suck. But it’s like she becomes a different person and shocks me with how she’s able to do that.

frostypants1562d ago

Everyone wants every game to be "for them". "This game is too hard and I suck at games...0/10!!!" It's the age of entitlement we live in.
