Good attitude to see around here

That’s like the only attitude we see around here 😅😅

Wasn't this already reported? I feel like I saw articles already about their plans to support the game for at least 5 years.

northpaws1573d ago

I think I will play Horizon first, likely to be the shortest, then Elden Ring, and then Dying Light for the long term supports...

I keep changing my mind though, so hard to decide...

They shouldn’t promise stuff like this. Every time a company promises 5+ years of support something bad happens.

dilbig51573d ago

They just came out with a patch for the original not too long ago that added some stuff to the latest dlc. A dlc that came out 1.5 years ago for a game that came out about 7 years ago.

senorfartcushion1573d ago

Yeah but they got to this patch without much warning. Whenever games promise live service plans like this, be it paid or free dlc, they usually get a roadblock or two down the line. Destiny, Cyberpunk, Avengers, Overwatch, Games with ten year promises have hardly made that promise. Destiny is still going strong but this period is after the dev left the publisher while rebelling against unfair contracts.

terrorofdeath1572d ago

They've been supporting Dying Light 1 since release, 6 years ago. And released new content regularly. Nothing bad happened.

senorfartcushion1572d ago

You need to reread my comments.

gamer91572d ago (Edited 1572d ago )

They never said live service game, they said they are supporting it. There won't be expectations of them pumping out content every 3-6 months. I don't see the problem, they have a good track record of supporting the first game.

senorfartcushion1572d ago

5 years of content absolutely means live service. There’s so disputing this. I’m not saying that they’re going to drip feed content like every other company - their content for the first Dying Light was great and I played all of it. I hope to play all of this. That’s not the point I’m making. I’m saying that promises put people off. They do. Happens every time.

The game already is going to
be huge and there’s going to be a lot to do, but focus on the launch. Don’t talk about the live service elements until the game is actually out.

I finally beat DL2 this past weekend. I’ll pick up the Beast for sure.

It got a lot of shit from fans more not being as scary at night on release. I was in that boat. But once I gave it a fair shot I really loved it. The movement was so much more expressive to me. I enjoyed the story too.... for the most part. Was my game of the year when it came out. With all the updates for darker nights and all that, it's even better. I feel almost exactly the same about stalker 2 right now. The erojank games are scratching my itch.

Both Resistance games will be "streaming only"

JEECE552d ago

So unfortunate. I'd subscribe to premium in a heartbeat if I could play Resistance: FoM for real on there. But game streaming is and always will be trash.

OtterX552d ago

I wish the Portal would do PS+ Streaming. I really want to play these handheld on it. :\

MrBaskerville552d ago

I wish they would release them properly. But have been playing Ratchet and Clank games om streaming and it works pretty well these days, where I live atleast, so will probably give them a shot regardless.

Knushwood Butt552d ago

Guess I'll be trying streaming for the first time then.

darthv72551d ago

Until they remaster PS3 games properly for play on the 4/5... I keep my 3 hooked up for just these situations.
