How Sony Can Make Home Not Suck

TAWKN.com has an article detailing several things they'd like to see Sony do to make Home better, including removing the text filters, giving more character customization, playing full movies, and such.

Dana wrote: "When all is said and done, Home is off to a decent start, especially for people who want a 3D voice and text chat playground. But for people who outgrew that sort of thing in their teenage years, Home doesn't have much of an appeal right now. These are just some of the things that, should Sony implement them, would make Home much more livable for everyone."

Bubububu Home is just in beta! Bubububu they'll add lots of features! They're bound to add lots of features in a short timespan, I mean look at what they've managed to put into Home in all the years it's been in development! That gives me great confidence that they can add a load of content sometime before 2050!

Bubububu Home is free! You can't complain about something that's free! Here. Have a free smack in the face. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I think theres a lot behind the scenes. Too long working on Home just for about 5 small rooms, I think it will be regulary updated because releasing everything in one go would be stupid.

People would log in Home because of the new rooms/features to test them out, thats how Home will continue to be populated.

In other words, I believe that theres a lot of stuff ready, but just not scheduled for a release yet.

now it's out they complan even more..

I say give it time and it will evolve just like the PSN...Home is what you make of it...it's not a game ppl need to realize this..it's just a social network for gamers

TruthBTold6376d ago (Edited 6376d ago )

if its not your thing just shut the f*ck up already, how many articles must there be about demanding more from Sony, it is getting to a point where its just plain stupid. Home is not a game, its just for socializing with other gamers and get a different way to see new things from Sony. I don't see any other articles demanding things from other consoles. I am no hardcore fanboy but I like coming here and reading about interesting things just to pass some time while I'm relaxing and lately all I see are dumb articles demanding or stating ridiculous points. Home is fun, its a Beta so unless you have no comprehension of what Beta means, you are gonna b*tch about it. The media is really just trying to put Sony down for no good reason, they're just hating.

They should make an article called "How can Microsoft make Avatars not suck".

Seriously, compare Home to NXE and it's leaps and bounds far beyond the competition. I hate these types of articles.

letting me log on would be a nice start

ravinash6376d ago

It took 3 days and a few attempts before I got on, and I got to use it for about 20 minutes before I got kicked out again. But that fact that I got in now shows that they are working on it and it will always be improving.

What would make Home not suck...

Realizing that it's a BETA!

thunder6376d ago

did you say thaT ITS a beta

ReBurn6376d ago

Being in beta doesn't give anything a pass. Once you let people use your software you're in production, no matter what tags you put on it.

ravinash6376d ago

True, but the fact that its a beta should make you realize that its a work in progress and that there will be bugs to iron out.
There is a lot of jumping up and down that people can't get in, but the fact is releasing it will expose bugs that just wouldn't show up before during testing because of the number of people coming on at once.
Its only been 3 to 4 days and over a weekend since it came out. Once they sorted out the bugs of people trying to login, then they can get to work with adding the features of home making it better for everyone.

ultimolu6376d ago

Whoa, look at the disagrees!

Never implied the bugs doesn't need to be ironed out. That's why it's called a beta.

The speed ain't that big a problem. Since its a beta so they can adjust the server base on it, and I really don't think Home will have such large number of member try to log-in at same time.

Its just an HD online-chatting place, maybe show off your trophy when they add it into the official version...but I do think people get on will decrease to an average number which won't slowdown/crush server.

They should add in a special system to allow players to use their "trophy exp" to buy staff. I think it will be a good drive for players to appreciate trophy system more.

So, I Finally Played Home

I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.

I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.

Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
