Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has described the launch issues that plagued last year's release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy as a 'glitch' that has since been 'resolved'.

Rockstar Games surprises GTA fans with a new GTA Trilogy Definitive Editions update, which includes classic lighting system for consoles.
Wish they had full-on remade the graphics for the original Trilogy. I tried them on PS+ and they felt like a lazy cash grab.
Gave this update a go when I saw a mysterious random download for the games last night and wow this is how it should have been.
Funny now Grove St games logo has been removed entirely and they are no longer mentioned seems like this is the result of a in house effort to fix everything
Removal of grove street game label is a great choice lmao might finally get these I would love to be able to play 60fps on these classics
That's how a lot of us felt when Square decided to destroy the Orange lighting from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It went from an unique look to Grey, Bland and Flat. And all because some threw a temper tantrum based on their lack of any artistic sensibilities.
Deus Ex = PISS FILTER!!!
GTA: San Andreas = CLASSIC!!!
Sheesh...

The three remasters were downloaded through Netflix 18 million times in their first month.
Netflix‘s mobile download numbers have reportedly risen drastically thanks to the addition of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition to the service. All three remasters were made available to Netflix members on December 14 via the App Store, Google Play, and in the Netflix mobile app.
Players are able to download and play the games as part of their Netflix subscription, with no extra charges. As a result of this high-profile addition to its library, Netflix has seen a sharp increase in monthly game downloads, according to Appmagic data reported via Mobilegamer.biz.
According to the data, Netflix’s monthly game downloads were around 10 million in November 2023, but this shot up to around 28 million in December 2023.
18 million downloads across the GTA trilogy on Netflix is incredible numbers and dwarfs the total number of Starfield downloads. This highlights that whilst Microsoft wants Game Pass to be the 'Netflix of gaming' its reach is currently just as a complementary service to the Xbox games console. Whereas Netflix because it is so ubiquitous has the potential to be the real Netflix of gaming and do what Sony, Microsoft and Google Stadia all have dreamed of doing and reach the casuals who never dreamed of buying a console.
Now you can download games on to your iOS/Android device, for sure Netflix is looking to offer full triple-A games that are streamed via the cloud on their TV app.

Three iconic locations, three epic stories.
Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is coming to Netflix on December 14 for Netflix members on the App Store, Google Play, and in the Netflix mobile app.
Starting today, fans can pre-register to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, featuring the genre-defining titles of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, each updated for mobile.
Then that must be one train wreck of a glitch.
Spin cycle is on.
The patch fixed a ton, but it's still far from even equaling the original, let alone being the definitive versions. So many missing and off details that it's painfully obvious to anyone who spent any real time playing the originals.
It absolutely hasn't been resolved. Some stuff is fixed. But there's nothing "Definitive" about these versions. They have terrible replacement effects, or are missing effects entirely. Way too many textures that after being cleaned up look horrible compared to the originals.
Definitive isn't supposed to mean "ok", it's supposed to be the best version available. Yet the originals with mods look significantly better. You choose between 60fps and *slightly* better graphics/lighting. These are remasters of PS2 games. If you can't do it all at 60fps that says a lot about how much optimization went into these.
A glitch?! What a slap in the face to consumers. These games were a rush job and a cash grab - nothing more. The issues haven't been resolved and they are an insult to the games' legacy by calling them "definitive".
