I'm sorry but "Cliffy B"??? you've got to be kidding me. He is the most overrated game developer of all time. That guy is an idiot and a jerk!

I think Jaffe is way too foul mouthed, but I think he's great. he's quite forward and sometimes a lil arrogant but he is nowhere near as annoying as Cliffy B or Itagaki.

I can't wait to see how the new Twisted Metal is coming along and I'd like some confirmation on whether Santa Monica did outsource him for help on GoW3.

Hopefully he has a game out for 2009 :)

Not only should you love David Jaffe, but you should really respect him for what he has done for us fellow gamers.

but he is one of the most foul-mouthed, tacky, people I have ever seen. No class or discretion whatsoever. Kind of hard for me to have respect for someone who shows no respect for others by his total disregard for integrity. Definitely has no respect for women I can tell you that. Talks about them like they are nothing but a man's play-toy.

I like Jaffe. He's made many game franchises that are just flat out visceral and fun.

Plus he's willing to call out negatives within the industry (like publishers pressuring reviewers to get good scores), and is more personable than other developers.

Before God of War, I never heard of the guy. But now I have dedicated respect to him and visit his blog a lot, he has a fantastic taste of gaming and is much more 'real' than the OTT PR magnet that is Cliffy B.

I love checking his list of games he's playing, I found it especially great when he was addicted to both Ratchet and Clank: Future and Super Mario Galaxy.
Also, I agree with his Calling All Cars arguement. Its a bloody fantastic game and the reviwers who marked that down have no sense of fun what-so-ever.

Also, who can hate a guy who is proud to list that he worked on worked on the classic platformer 'Mickeys Wild Adventure'.

I don't particularly care for him as a person. God of War is one of my favorite games ever though.

And besides, you dont have to totalley agree with me but i like when he swears and stuff. Thats what makes him human and realy down to earth just being himself. ;)
