According to Valve: “The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We’re sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates. Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping to customers February 2022.”

This futuristic retro racer will leave you on the edge of your seat.

This gem is ideal for those seeking out a good alternative to Vampire Survivors.

I put the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Steam Deck OLED to the test to determine which gaming handheld offers better battery life.
Nintendo Switch 2 vs Steam Deck battery test — the results
Nintendo Switch 2
1. First “low battery” warning = 2 hours, 7 minutes
2. Second “low battery” warning = 2 hours, 21 minutes
3. Battery Depleted = 2 hours, 40 minutes
Steam Deck OLED
1. First “low battery” warning = 1 hour, 50 minutes
2. Second “low battery” warning = 2 hours, 5 minutes
3. Battery Depleted = 2 hours, 9 minutes
Don't really need a comparison to know the Switch 2 is a far more power limited device with harder capped clock speed. It'd be concerning if the battery was worse.
Totally understandable given the current climate, but also a big blow for hype for sure. I would not be surprised if there was a further delay down the road, given how unpredictable assembly lines are at the moment.
Year on and we still cant easily buy consoles or GPUs. No surpised.
That's a bummer, but only 2 months, and understandable given how unpredictable HW is right now.
Disappointing but not really surprised. I'll still be waiting and keep my pre order
Feburary seems to be the month everything is releasing now.
