After playing Dark Souls 3 at 60fps on PS5 there is no going back. It makes these games so much more responsive and enjoyable.

blackblades1533d ago

You basically can say that for all games

Magog1533d ago

Yeah but these games more than most require split second timing.

While I’m glad that a 60 fps option exist, I comment to show that there are a small sub set of gamers who like playing single player games with all the graphical bells and whistles at 30 fps.

In SP games 60 fps and 30 fps is negligible to me after 10 minutes of playing (60fps is better but I get lost in the game so I stop noticing).

While at 60fps I do notice the reduced resolution and textures so ultimately I chose 30 fps for games like Ratchet and Spiderman.

I hope devs keep allowing us a choice.

While I agree I thoroughly enjoyed bloodborne and its dlc at 30fps, It's a case of you don't know what your missing, now after demons souls no way I could play these games at 30fps.

But will pc have unl framerate?

Eamon1533d ago

DS3 and Sekiro were frame unlocked, at least to 60fps I believe.

From the gfx, it seems a modern beefy PC should easily do 4K/60 but FS are infamous for poor hardware optimization so...

What about the Switch ?!?!!

BlaqMagiq11533d ago

Good. All From games should have 60fps mandatory.

Please no. Give us an option. I prefer graphics.

Espangerish1533d ago

I feel that you get a much bigger improvement in a game from the fps boost than a typically relatively modest resolution and details boost.

Once you start playing the fluid motion is far more important than a graphical boost that you don’t notice during the action.

But I do feel people should get the choice.

BlaqMagiq11533d ago

Options are fine but I will always be framerate>graphics. Resolution and graphics don't have a direct effect on gameplay. Framerate does.

CS71533d ago

@Espangerish

I know that most people prefer fps but having tried the two I personally prefer seeing a crisp resolution and very high rez textures in my play through at the sacrifice of frames.

I just love beautiful graphics in single player games. I would hate for devs to take away the option I enjoy more.

That’s why I think the option should remain. Best of both worlds.

I am not worried from the start. XD

Neonridr45d ago

definitely looks like it's running more stable now. Here's hoping the delay isn't too much longer for those who want to play it.

By the way, Isn't it amazing that the person playing in the video is an expert Elden Ring player? XD

What a name for a title with bad performance right now. Yup Tarnished Edition is about right. They made the right choice to delay this game.
