or remaster nothing. where's bully 2

Snakeeater251689d ago

In the garbage with the first one. Yes remaster maxpayne

wwinterj1688d ago

Remaster Manhunt and Max Payne after GTA. Remasters don't take away from the teams working on other projects.

chicken_in_the_corn1688d ago

The GTA V remaster killed the SP DLC

CrimsonWing691688d ago

Not to be that guy but can you link me to articles that explain that? I’d like to know the process, myself.

CrimsonWing691688d ago (Edited 1688d ago )

That’s the thing, how about we get to play other sequels? We didn’t get to trilogies by milking remasters for chrissakes!

jambola1688d ago

hopefully based in the past, I don't think I could handle modern highschool made by modern roclstar

NeoGamer2321688d ago

Or even better yet....

And original new IP?

Orchard1689d ago

I'm not a huge fan of remasters, but It would be nice to be able to play MP 1 through 3 on a modern console.

chiefJohn1171689d ago

I was just dreaming Bout this lol

Dandizzle1689d ago

Well max Payne 3 is made by rockstar but 2 and 1 are made by remedy and unless they got source code and assets from first 2 games that is not gonna happen.

isarai1688d ago

Seeing as how R* published 1&2 and own the IP, pretty damn sure they have the source code

I hope it will deliver.. we deserve a good Max Payne remake

HansyJ555d ago

We deserve nothing, but the legacy of Max pain deserves it

Cacabunga555d ago

Max Payne fans deserve a good remake. Maybe that is more clear

The_Blue555d ago

' but the legacy of Max pain deserves it"
The Max Payne legacy deserves it.

SoloZelot90555d ago

Okay...so something digital deserves it but something real doesn't?

DarXyde555d ago

I'm not much of a Remedy gamer beyond Alan Wake, but I can't say I've ever heard anyone complain about the quality of the product, whether we like the game or not.

CrimsonWing69555d ago

Um, I’d think that should go without saying… but glad they’re committed to making the quality excellent as opposed to, uh, not.

Gamingsince1981555d ago

Yeah it's kinda weird for them to say that and redundant.

DodoDojo555d ago

Its because they know that they lost trust with the GTA trilogy.

CrimsonWing69555d ago (Edited 555d ago )

I don’t think Remedy had anything to do with that. I get you’re referring to a publisher, but you wouldn’t think a developer would be reassuring people about their game when a different developer made a game that dropped the ball that’s under the same publishing umbrella.

Like, why would From Soft have to assure us that they’re game will be be striving for excellence if Namco Bandai is publishing and they’re referring to something like Unknown 9: Awakening?

This is just a weird statement no matter how you spin it, but also good to know.

jambola555d ago

oh.......thanks
"update, won't suck we hope" lol

VersusDMC555d ago

Well rockstar is paying the bills so they have to project confidence so it isn't cancelled.

What I'm wondering is who is going to voice Max since the og actor died or they are using the old VO like MGS3Remake.

Profchaos555d ago

Rockstar has always had a great relationship with remedy this isn't some new fly by night partnership they have worked together for 20 plus years now

VersusDMC555d ago

Max payne 2 was the last time they worked with rockstar in 2003. And it bombed.

Rockstar asked remedy to check out Max Payne 3 for notes but were not really involved.

So having worked on a project 20 years ago doesn't mean they have been working together for 20 plus years.

swedishMeatwad555d ago

Wow, breaking news! Developer aiming for excellent quality!

SoloZelot90555d ago

Considering some new releases that's good to hear. It is better than aiming for diversity and inclusion.

Demetrius572d ago (Edited 572d ago )

Playing max payne 2 on ps2 for the first time, lol this series definitely needs a remake. The gameplay is rough😅 still a good game tho I hope they keep that gritty feel to it.

RaidenBlack572d ago

My most anticipated remake(s)

isarai571d ago

Cant wait to see how this turns out. Max payne with Control's level of physics and destruction would be amazing. AND IT BETTER HAVE A PHYSICAL RELEASE
