You know those alignment memes that categorise what sort of person you are when you perform a certain task? Yeah, I often find myself on the chaotic side of that chart. I’m that person you love to hate – the one who marks the page they’re on in a book with a dog ear or the idiot who starts writing a news story inside the CMS. It turns out that in Battlefield 2042 I’m no different, and, after recently getting a chance to play the game ahead of the Battlefield 2042 beta, I’ve discovered I not only embrace chaos, I enjoy creating it.
You see, not long after spawning in for the first time on Orbital, I found myself ordering a tank from the buy menu and driving around various sectors blowing shit up. DICE and EA have long harked on about the capabilities of this truly next-gen game and I wanted to test it out.
Several PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium titles, including Battlefield 2042, Forspoken, and Sonic Frontiers, will depart the subscription catalog on December 16.
Thanks to Battlefield 6 rewards tied to BF2042's free Battle Pass, it has driven sales up to almost 500K in just a week.

In a surprising turn of events, the worst-rated Battlefield game has now overtaken the Call of Duty HQ app in terms of player count.
A) misleading
B) no shortage of players on either game
C) doesn't make either game better or worse. Just play the one you like
Played BF2042 when it came out. Thought it was trash. Played it now after BF6 beta, and they have made a ton of fixes to it. Now its really good.
CoD will still be popular as ever. 2042 is just scratching the itch of folks who want more BF after playing the beta.
This happens all the time. Look at Fallout76 after the show came out….
It would be interesting to see what the player base for COD would look like right now if they also made BO6 3.99 on Steam.
Played the beta for a while and it’s just not my thing. Also tried out the Vanguard beta a while back and it was horrible. The Halo beta on the other hand was amazing. Out of the three I’ll definitely be playing Halo Infinite this holiday.
They are replacing destruction with grapple hooks and sliding mechanics. You know..like COD and arcade shooters.
