Sakaguchi writing some side stories for FFXIV would be great.

Not sure it's true but I hear you will also press buttons to attack and there will be the option to pause and save!

Amazing...Chocobos batman😂🤣ԁ 70;

Man, I hope this game doesn’t go too far from its predecessors. I have never once played Final Fantasy and told myself I wish this played like Devil May Cry.

jznrpg1698d ago

I don’t think they would be stupid enough to change FF from rpg to DMC combo fest .

CrimsonWing691698d ago (Edited 1698d ago )

I hope you’re right. It’s just after playing the FF7 Remake I really thought they figured out the perfect battle system and now the fights are more DMC-like (from what I can tell) and now we have skill trees, which just kinda makes me wonder why did they feel the need to switch battle modes?

pietro12121698d ago

Same battle director so it may be similar

SDuck1698d ago

Replying to your answer to jznrpg,
Square always changes their battle system in each Final Fantasy entry. It's probably gonna feel familiar to players who played FF7R and FF15 but it will also be different enough to be a new experience. If there's a thing to be worried about in FF16, I don't think the battle system will be it

CrimsonWing691698d ago

Yea ever since 12 it’s definitely been noticeably different. 1-10 were turn based with tweaked background mechanics so it wasn’t drastically different or at least familiar enough having played a previous entry. If you just showed me the battles from the FF16 trailer I wouldn’t have guessed it was an FF game.

I mean I can’t say much, since I don’t know what the game is fully going to be like, but it’s just weird to me that they didn’t adopt the FF7 Remake battle system. I honestly think that’s the best because it still gives you that turn based feel but also is fast and visceral like a hack n’ slash.

Lore1698d ago

They brought over the lead who handled the DMC V combat over to Square and if I’m not mistaken he assisted big time with the FFXVI combat. But it will be thoughtful implementation to compliment their own RPG combat style.

Hofstaderman1698d ago

Oh man. I hope this game does not turn out like FF15. FF7 Remake did it right. Give us a playable party each with their own skill tree then sure.

Final Fantasy 16 Review – Clive’s Epic Arrives on Xbox - Lords of Gaming

Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox has an epic story, great voice acting, bold combat, and DLC. A flawed but unforgettable journey worth experiencing.

I had a great time with final fantasy 16. I completed all the quests, bounties and unlocked all the ekon abilities. I only need to play through the game on Final fantasy difficulty to unlock the platinum trophy.

*********Possible Spoiler Alert*********
Just a little nitpick I have with the series. It would have been a better if Clive was more militant. Imagine if we got a story like Spartacus.

In addition to that, I am not a fan of the endings we get from the final fantasy games. Some fans like it and say a bitter sweet ending is more memorable but I personally would prefer a new start in a happily ever after ending.

Let them, additional sales will help them for their other FF projects.

I was about to make fun of this so hard until i read what you've said. I gotta agree, let them.

Making fun of games being more accessible to a larger audience only to strengthen the IP for all the fans in the long run is plain stupid! Let’s all keep it real , aside of Nintendo exclusives are pretty much a thing of the past with all of the games coming to Pc . If everything comes to PC and can be played everywhere on the go there’s no longer an incentive for one to hold dear to a brand in particular when they all end up being able to play the same games .

Extermin8or3_341d ago

In principle there's nothing wrong with this. In reality this game struggles at times on the ps5, now with better optimisation that probably shouldn't be the case but then to go from there to running onnthe switch 2 which is similar innpower to a base ps4.... it is going to run like shit.
