If they can add this retired one to the mix... Id love to see them add the SR71 to the list as well.

Abriael1582d ago (Edited 1582d ago )

The SR71 is already announced and coming by Military Visualizations. I'm not sure whether it'll ever come to Xbox tho.

Oh sweet!!! I had not heard about that specific plane but a few others I know of. This is cool if it does come to xbox version.

Id quite like to see the Avro Vulcan, complete with the amazing sounding vulcan howl as it consumes all that air through its intakes ...
other than that, a borg cube, but i think the limitations of the game might make that impossible ...

camel_toad1580d ago (Edited 1580d ago )

The Blackbird was one of my absolute favorite jets growing up. And it's stood the test of time as far as just being damn cool looking.

I'd like to see them add the Avro Arrow. Such a cool part of Canadian history that we were forced to cancel.

What I can’t behind is the pricing on some of this stuff. The F-14 DC design made is over $30. You read that right. That plane is that expensive. I can’t imagine what they are going to try and sell the Concorde at. This simulator is fine for those that want to see a few things around the world and have a few wow moments. Only the hardcore of the hardcore will get to TRULY experience it and that isn’t me. One look at the marketplace is eye watering.

Abriael1580d ago (Edited 1580d ago )

Considering that those aircraft require pretty much comparable work to a whole game to code and create, care to explain why they should be cheaper?

If these prices make your eyes water, prepare to be shocked when the more complex study-level airliners will be released.

Deathdeliverer1580d ago

@Abriael

Maybe you just felt like saying something before thinking but let me breakdown what I said as basic as possible.

Hardcore players will pay the hardcore prices and experience all the game has to offer.
The non hardcore can have fun with the basic package.
As a non hardcore player it’s wayyy too expensive for me.
After that breakdown…. Where did I say the prices should be cheaper? I said they aren’t for me. You telling me they ARE for me? Lol…
Some of you guys defend stuff even when there’s no reason…. You’re kinda weird.

If Microsoft can release a game with loads of immaculately detailed planes for the same price of two of these rip-off planes then that doesn’t add up.

Abriael1580d ago (Edited 1580d ago )

@Deathdeliverer: if you call something "eyewatering" then you obviously don't approve and think they should be cheaper.

@whitbyfox: Microsoft is a massive company with massive resources. Aircraft add-ons are made by much, much smaller companies or even single developers who need to pay the bills and make a profit for the months or even years that it takes to model, texture, and code these aircraft.

Incidentally, the default aircraft released by Microsoft are far from "immaculately detailed." They're basic aircraft with basic systems designed to be flown by novices. They do fine for that purpose, but most add-on aircraft are much more complex and detailed.

@Abriael
Still not making sense. A Nissan GTR has a eye watering price. It’s one of my favorite cars in the world. Not once have I thought it should be cheaper. Maybe English isn’t your first language, no offense there, but calling something eye watering in the context I used it simply means it’s expensive. Has nothing to do with approval. I’m buying the GTR. It’s cost is worth what I’m getting to ME. I’m a hardcore fan of it. I’m not getting ANY $30 intangible single item unless it’s Bitcoin. I’ll leave that to the hardcore in that field.

Be interested to see how many copies of this add on sell on Xbox. The way I see it, the type of person who will buy a properly modelled simulator add on for flight sim will almost certainly be a PC user. I just don't see many console gamers wanting a proper simulation. It's a shame Xbox are so cloak and dagger about their numbers really, so we will never know.

I would love to be proven wrong as it might lead to more add ons coming to xbox.
