Deathloop - Official Next-Gen Immersion Trailer | PS5

From the stunning visuals in the 60s-inspired environments of Blackreef to the unique feel of every weapon with the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers, DEATHLOOP uses the next-gen features of the PlayStation 5 to immerse players in Colt’s neverending quest to break the timeloop.

Experience the ultimate struggle between two rival assassins with haptic feedback and immersive audio from the controller speaker that places you in the center of the action. If at first you don’t succeed, the PS5 console’s ultra-high speed SSD gets you back in the fight for freedom with quick loading times.

Probably does. Maybe they don't advertise it specifically cos you need to use headphones to take advantage of it.

UltraNova1721d ago (Edited 1721d ago )

If it was something they felt it needed highlighting they would so expect nothing special.

FlavorLav011722d ago

Looks gorgeous, loving the art style here. Can’t wait to get my groundhog day on with the dualsense in hand.

I have really mixed feelings about this game. And weapon jamming? I hope it's not random.

NeoGamer2321722d ago (Edited 1722d ago )

Maybe they have a active reload system that if you time your reload properly (like gears of war) it is faster and you get better damage from your reload. And if you time it poorly, it jams.

boing11722d ago

This kind of feature wouldn't be connected to reloading IMO. Would be way to overwhelming in the longterm for something you do so often. If you watch it again, you can see few shots before weapon locks. Could be overheating maybe.

TheDoomedGuy1722d ago (Edited 1722d ago )

It might be the weapon type. Perhaps it's really good but has the possibility of jamming. Risk and reward kind of deal.

roadkillers1722d ago

Sorry to disregard this game, but can we get a legit Edge of Tomorrow video game? Where we can have different interactions each day?

343_Guilty_Spark1721d ago

Its called Hades or any Rogue lite lol.

roadkillers1721d ago

Not at all. Hades is different every playthrough, have you ever seen Groundhog Day, Happy Death Day, or Edge of Tomorrow?

What's going to happen with the trigger lock/gun jamming feature when the game goes to other platforms in a year.

Wil it be removed, or will they somehow change the nature of the feature.

Darkborn1721d ago

Probably will just be a QTE or something and the Xbox fans will say they don't need a duelsense.

deadfrag1721d ago

It will not be used. You can also chose on Ps5 if the dualsense triggers are off or on,the jamming is a dualsense feature.

Abnor_Mal1721d ago

Oh okay, I was thinking it was suppose to be something intergal to how the game plays.

Epicor1721d ago

Weapons could still jam. Just not provide adaptive trigger feedback while doing so. We've had multiple games where weapons can jam in the past.

DJStotty1721d ago (Edited 1721d ago )

You my friend, you understand.

On PC and eventually in 2022 Xbox, the gun jamming "event" will still be in the game, they will just adapt the feel to whatever controller is being used, so Dualsense will lock the trigger, xbox may vibrate the trigger (yes, xbox controllers have haptics in the triggers (called impulse triggers) and have done since the xbox one before i get the backlash of doom)

DJStotty1721d ago

"What's going to happen with the trigger lock/gun jamming feature when the game goes to other platforms in a year."

Nothing, the guns will still jam, you just will not get the locking of the trigger.

Abnor_Mal1721d ago (Edited 1721d ago )

"Wil it be removed, or will they somehow change the nature of the feature."

At least post my entire post, it wasn't that long.

"Nothing, the guns will still jam, you just will not get the locking of the trigger."

Okay, so they will remove it or change how it works. So possibly they will allow the guns to fire and then randomly not fire, making the player have to press a button for it to work again.

I've not kept up with the game or any current gen game as I haven't gotten a system yet. When the game first was revealed and afterwards the trigger lock seemed to be spoken about a lot. Yes I know new system new features, but it seemed TO ME the game was built around the feature.

So now that the developers have been acquired by MS, im wondering if the trigger lock thing is still being spoken about as much. Probably not, from trigger lock to jamming, most likely to lessen the focus on that particular controller.

DJStotty1720d ago

@Abnor_Mal

The trigger lock, is a feature of the dualsense controller, not the game mechanics.

Why would they need to change/remove anything?
