Everyone is doing that now, a lot of older game prices have increase at pawn shops, there's even more customers than ever before.

I do it on PC sometimes. I just replayed Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, with Duke Nukem 😁. That game is so much fun and the one liners I love em. Well now that I have hardware, I can get my FPS in the 200-300fps on my 360hz monitor. It's an awesome experience. If you don't have an HDR monitor it can inject fake HDR and it looks pretty good going by the screenshots.

There's plenty of kids today who are going to look back with such fondness to the time they spent with Fortnite and Call of Duty in the same manner I do with Tony Hawks, Timesplitters, Metal Gear, Resi Evil and so on.

It's the same with music and even TV/Movies - older is better in this case. We have the tech to make new experiences, to only push political agendas because of a few kids screaming on social media. Maybe if these companies listen to the people who put them in the position(s) they're at today, sales would go up and the constant nagging of re-releases would be slim.

I recently played through Black for the first time. It was pretty enjoyable once you get a few missions. Black’s gameplay is very bombastic and not over burdened with set pieces.Also, I just replayed Dead Space on Series X. Dead Space has aged surprisingly well. Even the visual still look pretty good, even though the texture don’t hold up well when viewed up close.

I was thinking about this the other day. I’m more hyped to play Diablo 2 than Diablo 4 because I know how trash modern blizzard is. Im more hyped about the system shock remasters than most newer titles. Atomic heart could be cool but from my understanding it’s made by an obscure Russian developer who hasn’t been tainted with modern American trash culture. There’s a chance!

The crap games today are little different from the crap games of yesterday. And the good games today fair better than most good games of yesterday. Nostalgia is really the only reason out of the bunch that fairs more with older games for obvious reasons.

Playing old games is not 'better now', nothings changed, always has been relevant. I revisit old school survival horror all the time like Siren.

I play more old games than new games.
