TGG says: "Night Book is the latest interactive thriller by Wales Interactive. It plays out like a movie in which you make branching choices that affect the outcome of the story and you’ll usually want to play it multiple times to see the different endings."

Jack Brassell writes: "Looking for some spooky games to get you in the Halloween spirit? Then check out our list of the Best iPhone Games for Halloween."

Regardless of my respect for Wales and developer Good Gate Media making this under rough circumstances, the game proper still feels incomplete.

WTMG's Leo Faria: "When compared to the rest of Wales Interactive’s, well, interactive movies, Night Book is easily the weakest of bunch. I have nothing against its acting or the fact there isn’t a lot of interactivity in here, but I was beyond annoyed with its clichéd Blumhouse-esque premise and its tiresome visuals. It’s not a very interesting story and I failed to connect with or care about any of its characters. Whereas I can actually recommend The Complex to people into the genre, I really don’t think Night Book will appeal to anyone."
