Samus Returns was well received and they have done a good job with the Castlevania LoS games. I think they know what they are doing.

Samus Returns is one of the high points in series. I'm not sure this opinion piece is warranted. Is the author sure he wasn't thinking of Other M by Team Ninja? (which is still a pretty decent game)
Their work on Samus Returns was good. It stands to reason this will be good as well. The 30 minute Treehouse playthrough of the game showed a lot of promise so that's always good.
Samus Returns was amazing, but the Castlevania LoS games were pretty bad.
I will remain cautiously optimistic here. :)
