The Monster Harvest release date has been delayed for a second time due to the need to add language support for Eastern Europe and Latin America.

Daily Video Game writes: "eShop has just kicked a new digital sale for Nintendo Switch users, with steep discounts on several popular games from Merge Games, Gamuzumi, PQube, No Gravity Games, QubicGames, and Shiro Games right now!"

Grow Plants. Make Monsters. Fight Monsters. Repeat.

"Monster Harvest, a pixel art title developed by Maple Powered Games and published by Merge games was released to us in August 2021. The title is available across most platforms and is out now." Dan @ Thumb Culture
Just from that one screenshot it's apparent that it's ripping off Stardew Valley (I did watch a trailer afterwards which very much confirmed it). Personally I find it hard to get excited about games that copy others so closely because while they might be sound mechanically there's no soul.

Man, these Pokemon knockoffs seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately. This particular one seems to be infused with some Stardew Valley flavour as well. I'll probably hold off until a bunch of these are released and gauge the reception before opting to check out one or two of them. I'm all for there being more Pokemon-like games to choose from, but the market is quickly getting flooded with them to the point of oversaturation. I sure as heck don't have time for all of them, so I'll wait and see.
