Bring it Back | Lollipop Chainsaw

From the minds of Suda51 and James Gunn comes Lollipop Chainsaw, the subject of this week's Bring it Back feature from Gotgame.

Never going to happen but I wish it would.

You know i just played this for the first time last year. I liked it, even as ridiculous as it was. I liked the vibe and music a lot. The gameplay was ok, and the minigames to me were the worst part. I don't see this getting a remaster tho. It's a niche game and some of the things in the game are kind of not acceptable in today's climate. I don't give a shit but others might.

Fist4achin1816d ago

Highly recommend Shadows of the Damned if you haven't played it already. I think it was even better with great humor.

Furesis1816d ago

Oh yeah? I'll have to check that one out then.

Jessica Nigri is still a hottie :-)

this is soda's worst title

Lollipop Chainsaw, Let it Die, and Shadows of the Damned were all great games. Still have them all on PS3.

I wish we could go back to having games with absurd content like this but SJWs have scorched the land. You won’t be seeing these kinds of games ever again.

lol that's cool. I'm waiting for lollipop chainsaw remake to go on major sale before i try it again. I didn't get far in the original, not because i didn't like it tho. I bought shadows of the damned remake instead which is an awesome game and i recommend.

Numbers 6-9 were some of my absolute favorite early gen PS3 games. I'm still bitter about Incognito and Japan Studio.

Goodguy01714d ago

The white knight chronicles and infamous games really need to come to modern platforms. MAG I really miss...poor zipper. The ps3 was definitely a unique console despite it being the worst home console of PlayStation.

Lollipop chainsaw now a remaster not a remake

At fans request apparently.

gold_drake945d ago

i wonder if they looked into what a remake would cost and went "NOPE Remaster it is" haha

FreeckyCake944d ago

It probably has to do with what the producer had mentioned recently. The thing about not wanting to change the essence of the original (e.g censorship). So maybe remastering the game was the best choice.

CrimsonWing69944d ago

The link to the story didn’t really answer the question. It makes no sense that you have to censor a remake and not a remaster.

What I got from that article is licensed music forced them to change to a Remake(?) and that they’re working hard with the platform holders to negotiate not censoring, which Sony is stupid about.

My question is, how would a Remaster not have to go through censorship?

I’ve seen dialogue changed in FF7 and Baten Kaitos. Then you have actual cutscenes being removed like in the dmc remaster.

I assume the same could be done to this game.

FreeckyCake943d ago

No idea. That's why I said " maybe ".

CrimsonWing69944d ago

Bull sh*t, you show me where fans wanted a Remaster instead of a Remake. I was more onboard with a Remake, I’m less excited just playing the same game I did before but now with sharper textures and better framerate.

ModsDoBetter943d ago

Probably realised this won't do the numbers so didn't want to invest.

No harm, I love Lollipop Chainsaw but it's a bit of a niche title.

gold_drake943d ago

yeh it was super niche even bk then

LoveSpuds943d ago (Edited 943d ago )

Loved it back in the day and have my copy sat on the shelf and ypu are right, it was super niche, which is why my copy is increasing in value slowly but surely. Hoping a remaster doesn't tank the value of my PS3 copy
