Metro Exodus DualSense Haptic Feedback on PC Shown Off

It seems the implementation of PS5 DualSense support for Metro Exodus is easy to implement! Watch the haptic features of the DualSense using the PC version shown off in real time.

MadLad1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

Yet people were telling me, just a few months ago, that the haptic feedback wouldn't be able to be implemented on the PC when I brought up enjoying using the controller on PC.

Sunny_D1840d ago

That’s weird. Sony would probably dedicate making the dualsense easy to use on the PC if they will eventually bring games over to the PC.

gamesftw2501840d ago

PC life always finds a way :P

neutralgamer19921840d ago

Ted

With time everything can be figured out. Now pc gamers can enjoy the best controller in the market and it's best features

Babadook71840d ago

Everyone I ever heard talk about it said this was going to happen eventually for pc Mac and mobile. For now it’s ps5 only and exclusives show it off the best. Hopefully this changes because adoption from 3rd party will make a great product even better.

FinalFantasyFanatic1840d ago

I was expecting it to come to PC eventually, it'd be a shame if it was commonplace for PS5 games (both 1st and 3rd party) to have the feature and not include it for the PC port.

draconiangull1840d ago

When did anyone say that?

I don't believe you.

MadLad1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

Months ago I was bombarded with comments that haptic feedback was this super secret technology that Sony had the rights to and would never be implemented outside Playstation, simply for stating I was using the controller for PC.

It's there if you want to dig it up, but don't call me a liar.

draconiangull1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

You dig it up, you're the one making the claim.

MadLad1840d ago

Nah. I'll leave that to you. If you care that much to be right, you can dig it up. I post a lot on here, but it's there.
You're the one accusing me of lying about the situation. I simply stated a truth. I'm not going to go out of my way to justify myself to some random person on the internet.
If you really care that much, it's there for you to find.

MadLad1840d ago

Then go on and assume.
The first 3 letters of assumption, well, you know how it goes.

I don't remember anyone saying that Teddy.

MadLad1840d ago

You tend to have a selective memory, depending on the subject.
Again though, it's there for you to find, if you care that much.

GOULDYBOBS1840d ago

I also remember the fanboys making this claim.

Now imagine modders implementing all sorts of haptics for past PC games.

Amplitude1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

No way! At this point I can play the remastered fully ray-traced Metro Exodus at 1440p/60 with dlss on and still get all the ps5 controller features - but with the added ability of being able to enable gyro aim and customize buttons however I want.

The haptic feedback and triggers, and the fact that physical games still exist are the two main things keeping me spending an extra $10 for ps5 games instead of my PC.
I'm honestly shocked Sony would allow this lol. Once the controller config on Steam adds support for this it's literally gonna be even better than ps5...

Still gonna keep buying ps5 games anyway. Physical copies 4eva. But god damn if pc isn't ever calling me this gen

PunksOnN4G1840d ago

Everything u just said u could do on PC can be done on the PS5 alone but nice fail buddy :)

Amplitude1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

Well you're wrong since there's no controller configurator or system-level gyro aim or dlss support and Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition is pc exclusive... so you actually can't do... literally anything that I mentioned BUT STILL - I ain't arguing man, I still love the ps5 way more than PC lol.

Idk what it is about pc gaming but I'm just not that into it, and building your collection is boooooooring when they're just lame old downloads stretched across multiple storefronts lol

MadLad1840d ago

Well that's inaccurate, but ok.

excaliburps1840d ago

Nor sure if this is a legit good post or a troll one....

Amplitude1840d ago

@excaliburps
yeah i was kinda stoned so my thoughts were very all over the place.
Overall i think i guess i was just having a crisis over whether to play on ps5 vs pc this gen lmao

Destiny10801840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

if your going to buy a 2000 bucks Pc and a new PS5 controller you deserve a few extra perks but your also missing out on a few perks

a lighting fast dedicated gaming Os, lighting fast load times, just look at resident evil for load times vs Pc, a dedicated gaming network with next to zero cheaters and of course you miss out on the greatest looking game ever made: Ratchet and Clank, throw in, state of the art 3D audio and next gen VR, lets not forget about that 400 bucks price point

PunksOnN4G1840d ago

Stop ur gonan make the PC Babys upset

Nitrowolf21840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

I mean tbf, my is boots in less than 5 second XD and this is being under the 500 mark at the time I built it

But I also own a ps5 knowing what games I’m gonna missing. God of War, Horizon, spider man, ratchet. Way too much to not love.
I also pefer playing console cause I find it easier.

FinalFantasyFanatic1840d ago

You can have most of those things on PC, cheaters are hard to deal with, and exclusives are gunna be exclusives.

dsammy041840d ago

If anything this just makes me want to save up for a gaming PC for next gen. This will probably replace me buying the next Xbox as long as Microsoft is heading in the current trajectory of they don't care were you game as long as it's through them.

Still going to have ps6 and whatever Nintendo brings.

ApocalypseShadow1840d ago

Only thing that's really going to happen is that Sony is going to make a whole lot of Benjamin's on their controllers.

Lol. Look at the master race jumping for joy for console technology. Look at them squirm with glee.

MadLad1840d ago

The average PC gamer is going to use an Xbox controller, as they have for years.

I enjoy using the PS5 controller, and like that some devs will be making use of the haptic feedback, but you're so highly biased it's ridiculous.

Take your win in that now one of the big features of the PS5 is no longer exclusive to PS5, I guess.

northpaws1840d ago

You know who else is highly biased? You.

Atticus_finch1840d ago (Edited 1840d ago )

Teddy accusing others of bias. Lol

MadLad1840d ago

@north @Atticus

I'm a PC gamer who has only bought Playstation for the last few generations. Constantly applauded multiple Sony releases, and view a few as some of my favorite games of all time.
Give credit to MS for Gamepass, being I consider it a great service, but have called them out, multiple times, for having an abysmal generation, outside of the last couple years.
Constantly calls out Nintendo and their lack of effort, and greed, despite admitting I still really enjoy their 1st party releases.

So much bias.
I wonder which one company you both take issue with when I sometimes criticize them.

specialguest1839d ago (Edited 1839d ago )

MS has been making a whole lot of Benjamins from their controllers as it's the default controller for PC gamers for years since the xbox 360. It's cool that the PS5 controller could be used with its full functions, but no one is jumping for joy as you're describing it. This news barely got any attention on N4G and got far less attention outside of N4G. It's pretty simple... no one's going to get excited for something most haven't experienced. Most PS fans haven't experienced it either since it's nearly impossible to get a PS5. This isn't like VR providing a totally new experience. This is just an advanced form of haptic feedback
