Ya, I just don't know why some gamers can't wrap their head around MS does not make platform exclusives. It is an argument that only Sony fans bring up. They can't seem to move on that MS does not make platform exclusives anymore. The ship has sailed and left the dock and is half way across the ocean yet they sit there thinking the ship isn't even built yet.

And this is not a huge blow. MS has 23 studios now. Starting with Psychonauts 2 or Halo Infinite, I expect a steady stream of games afterwards. Forza Motorsports, Forza Horizon, Ever Wild, Hellblade 2, Avowed, State of Decay 3, Fable reboot, Starfield, Perfect Dark, Elder Scrolls 6, etc. are all announced titles coming. The question is not whether games are coming, it is more about sequence and when for games after.

While some gamers are stuck in the past, participating in a "console war". Most gamers have moved on. Even Sony ships games on PC now-a-days.... Horizon, Death Stranding, etc are examples of the ever increasing presence of Sony games on PC. Not to mention Days Gone is heading to PC on May 17th. The days of platform exclusive games are going the same way as dinosaurs. There is just too much presure on every game maker from a financial sense to justify only shipping a game on one platform in the coming future. You can't justify $100-200 million game budgets for just one platform.

I think it is good that we are probably another 3-5 years away from another Gears game. Would probably be a cool mid-generation console update launch title.

I mean, they still kinda are. Halo is the prime example... The amount of hype they pushed with Halo Infinite is nothing like I've seen before with Xbox. They cant really rely on anything else that hasn't been proven to be a hit aside from the established franchises that Bethesda games has. Im still excited to see what the future holds for Xbox and their studios and hopefully they make some more franchises that I want to play.

@Stoneyoshi Right, definitely not like we know of (or released) Avowed, psychonauts 2, starfield, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Hellblade 2, Forza horizon 5, Outer worlds, Indiana jones, age of empires 4, state of decay 3, minecraft dungeons, among other I am probably missing and some not announced. How many games do they need for you to be satisfied that there is more than Halo?

That isn't the same as a remaster, I wanna play them with new graphics like Gears UE was. Also 4k doesn't do much if they're not 60 fps, hard to go back to 30 fps on old games.

Hmm I don't think it has to be a "thing" really. If fans demand it then it's on the table. They already remastered Gears 1 so there's no reason to assume they couldn't remaster 2 and 3.
