If that so called "Power Button" symbol was broken down into 4 individual segments to resemble the "Ring" around the Xbox 360 power button, then maybe it would point to a MGS game being on the 360, but that power button symbol could mean anything. And the fact that there is an exclamation mark, leads me to believe that it is another Metal Gear Acid game that might be in development for some handheld/portable platform.

It's really stupid how people totally spun this around into a possible MGS game being exclusive to the 360 or MGS4 on 360, ridiculous. Until then Konami, I'll be waiting for MGS5 on PS3. If MGS5 is on 360 too, fine, but the 360 version had better be on 2-3 discs or something because the PS3 version had better not be gimped because it's multiplatform.

Kojima made a PS3 game using the system as best he could, that is what I am happy about. Console owners wanting a game on there system is something I understand but not those wanting a game to stay exclusive is rabid fanboyism. On the other hand we will have our pathetic 360 owners who make this like the second coming of Jesus which is also terribly annoying.

The iPhone game though sounds like a given though, does not matter if it is MGS4 or whatever but somewhere down the line I expect a metal gear game on the iPhone. Kojima likes Apple so I am sure he will want to do something for them.

I haven't played any metal gear solid I'm ashamed to say but I know the basic story due to my friend being a big fan. So anyone have any idea what the power icon means? If I were to say the teaser is for MGS Gameboy edition, would you all jump on it as fact? Because it's just as good a guess as the one made in the article

Also the bit where they use the bit "/mgst" from the URL of the page as proof it's a touch game, would it not make more sense that it means "Metal Gear Solid Teaser"?

I can see Ac!d on the iphone because of the touch screen as well as a lot of people starting to make games for it. Plus it makes more sense with the i & ! being related to iphone & Ac!d especially seeing as how MGS4 had Apple products in the game.

MGS4 was on a bluray, full 50GB and used alot of the cell's power. Why would Kojima go with a DVD9 engine and less power?

As much as I would welcome MGS on the 360, I think the theories about the iPhone or DSi are far more likely.

Those green icons, though, do make me wonder...

I would like to make a few point just for my observeration.

1. People as assuming as its green they mean the 360 but the codec is green so I think they are refering to that.

2. It says " A next Metal gear is..." There is no reference to MGS4 so we can assume it is not that.

Look at the link. You will see the symbol and to the right to that it mentions DLC with a week to go until the 12th six months since release and the rumour for dlc for that time.

4. The power symbol has the ! symbol may not be a power symbol.

Your arguments are not objective enough. What's that about the casual games? Tell me what's preventing Konami from trying to put their system-seller franchise on the iPod or iPhone or iWhatever? There aren't just music games in there. The article you mentioned talked about ''Lightsaber Unleashed'' being a best-seller. And if Metal Gear Mobile worked well (#3 spot for ''most popular Mobile game'' on gamerankings), then this must be worth it too. And this list also contains a Final Fantasy 7, Ninja Gaiden, Megaman, Arkanoid, etc...

Mobile games aren't as casual as you may think. And because mobile phones and iPods are very popular, well Konami would be making a very profitable descision (very low developpement costs, HUGE install base).

The i in the iPod and the ! in ac!d. With all the apple references in the game it just makes sense.

Or it could be ac!d coming to 360 arcade. Grip shift was a psp game (like ac!d) and it came out for live arcade.

I dont know how people come up with the idea where you think that this means a MG game is coming to the Xbox 360 because of the color... Anyways, if it does, then great; but before I was thinking it may be a wii game, but after reading this, it may be an ipod game. MGS4 had a Apple computer advertised in MGS4, the MG devs or Konami or whatever have pretty good relationships with apple. So yea, I think its possible for a MG game to come to the ipod.

Man it's hillarious. See, Xbox has been taking all their franchises and good titles all year long. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft attained the MGS series. However, I am actually more convinced that it's for an apple-related gaming device cause Apple said they want to get involved in the gaming industry.

But Im praying to play it on the iphone. It would be great for work plus my stock in apple will start to rise to greatness again. this would cement the iphone for a great gaming platform.

ps The iphone and touch are going to be getting twice the memory soon thanks to Samsung! The harddrive and ability to download games at a whime will let it blow past the likes of PSP. No harddrive and a doomed UMD format held back the PSP IMO.
