Is magical! I'm glad Sony invested that much in the Dualsense, 3D audio and SSD.

I'm just happy that others are having such great experiences as I am with this game.

Personally I think youd be hard pressed to beat it for the money. I think a lot of people find it uncomfortable, but among my friend group, we all find it incredibly comfortable and we all love ours

Pulse headset is really good mine arent as loud as my astro a50s but i use them way more anyway

I have 7.1 and while the audio sounds amazing I cannot tell for certain if it is better than other titles on my PS4. I am not saying it doesn’t sound better. Only that I am not an expert in audio.

Also, my first experience with the game was a little sensory overload (in a good way) when combining the learning curve, speed of the game, crazy particle effects, sound, and haptics. In other words, it sounds amazing, but my attention was being pulled in so many directions that it also made it difficult for me to ascertain a sound difference on a 7.1 system.

The one thing I will conclude is that when combining all the above, the game is incredibly immersive.

headphones are better than any speaker setup. you have 2 ears(inputs) and you only need 2 speakers for them (outputs). your brain can determine direction in 3d space by the delay and volume between the 2 points along with environmental audio data(echoes, distortions, etc). sony's 3d audio tech can simulate this really well and in my opinion is incredibly undervalued. even generic headphones create a convincing experience. the problem with surround sound set ups is that setting them up correctly is almost never done. not only does speaker location in the space matter, but it changes based on the space's shape, textures, obstructions, and materials. sound waves are physical things. so, its good to think about it in terms of interference. the closer the sound source is to your head, the less interference is going to play a role in changing the properties of that sound wave.

Xbox fans have a huge inferiority complex they don't want to admit to. Deep down, they know their chosen platform sucks but they're just too prideful to admit it. It's been over 600 days since the last AAA exclusive on Xbox (Gears 5). To me, that is completely unacceptable and I would NEVER support a console that dropped the ball that badly. Yeah, they've bought a ton of studios. Look where it's got them. Insomniac alone has released more exclusives on PlayStation in that same time period than all of MS studios combined.

Not a bit worried. I have Series X, PS5 and a gaming PC. I think limiting yourself to one choice or platform greatly hinders anybody's ability to be a gamer over a fanboy. I can play whatever i want whenever I want and also see through the fanboy talk because I have choice and can see the benefits of each platform for what they actually are. PS5 for exclusives, Xbox for backwards compat support and 120hz games on console and PC for when I want to have the best overall experience with my LG38gl950-b. Gamers don't tout a specific platform, they simply play games.

That GoW live service game was the dumbest idea ever. I thought they were remaking Bloodbourne or a Demons souls expansion (covering that broken arch stone). Sony was really panicked after that abk/Microsoft news hit. I hope it was a side project for Bluepoint and that there's another one in the pipeline. That GoW game apparently never got off the ground.

Blaming Sony for pursuing Live Service when the top 5 games every month by spend and engagement are live service games is illogical. Gamers are telling Sony where to invest so there is a real disconnect between what is said online and what people actually play. Who should Sony listen to? Clearly the logical decision is to listen to people actually playing games and whether we like it or not Sony would be in vioulation of it duty to its investors if it didn't try to pursue LS. People taking out their fustrations on Live Service games by attacking Sony and using it as the industry whipping boy does not fix the industry. You are just telling the rest of the industry that they can keep doing what they are doing because they aren't called Sony. All I hear people say is that they hate live service but every single month the top games are live service. You are all either lying or you don't know what you are talking about. Sony should pursue both SP and live service games.

I want to try out the patch, I want to complete the game - but I can't because I can't get past the first world. And before you jump to tell me to 'get good' I tried and I couldn't!

@Venom Do you play on PS5? I would play co-op with you. Or a friend could play co-op with you. I have beaten the game a few times (been a while) and have played a lot of the Tower dlc. A friend could help you complete it.
