Denuvo’s Anti-Cheat is available to game publishers on PlayStation®5 to help bring cheating to an end

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

I know PC games had performance issues due to Denuvo. I hope that's not the case here.
What cheating on exists PS5 exatly? I don't like the sound of this tbh, if it causes any issues I hope Sony drop it straight away.
That's interesting to see implement on consoles.
"This means that titles that have used the tool before require an online check before they can be played offline, including some single-player focused games. No details were given on whether this would be the same on PS5, though we suspect this will mostly be used in online only titles."
Sounds like the dreaded online check in DRM from the xbox one launch days, hopefully this is not the case for PS5, I was not a fan of the 24hr check in when announced for xbox one (even though i never play offline but that is not the point).
I’m all up for anti cheat software to be implemented, will be keeping an eye out for more information on this.
