Marvel's Avengers Customizable HARM Rooms Out on March 18, Devs Explain XP Adjustments

The Marvel's Avengers Customizable HARM Rooms release date, and it's due on March 18! Crystal Dynamics explains the XP adjustments coming too.

"The problem we were seeing, and hearing, was that you would immediately get more skill points than you had time to review, apply, and get used to, before embarking on your next mission and gaining your next few levels. Hopefully, you can see the issue here.

We want people to level up, in fact, we really want to see more people level up more Heroes, as playing the full Avenger roster should be the most fun thing you can do, but we don’t want the leveling up experience to be too overwhelming or diminish exploring each skill purchase."

Cause everyone complained they were leveling too fast and not about gear score/power being a pain to level up... Artificially inflating the xp to hit level cap is not going to increase the fun for those still playing or lure any people back that have already left. Hell, they even limit the group to 1 of each character (Destiny will let you have a full group of titans or warlocks, and Outriders will let you have everyone play all Devastators if you want) so you can't even level up with friends.

Comparing Destiny and Outriders is a little silly if you ask me. Given the MCU doesn't have 2/3 Hulks, Iron Man's, Captain America's etc... it makes sense from a lore standpoint to limit how many are in a party.

Everything else I agree with though.

No one is this stupid, especially after seeing what happened to Anthem.

It's clear they are trying to ruin the game so they can shut it down and move onto something else.

Spenok1902d ago

... what?

Spending time, money, and resources on it just to "try and ruin it" doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Genuinely belly laughing at this.

Unreal.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit27d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing27d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9227d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
