It's specs are more than Gears5, Quantum Break, SoTR, and Death Stranding... something is not right here....
game should recommend a GTX 650ti at most and that's with tessellation enabled.

I'm guessing it's for running the game at 4k maybe it is just a ue3 game so it's strange that it needs that much

Eidolon1938d ago (Edited 1938d ago )

If it struggles to run at 1440p/60FPS on my RX 580 and Ryzen 5 3600, I'd be pretty disappointed at their optimization. I'd likely be playing this on my PS4 Pro or X1X, though.

Got a 3700x + 3070, 32GB ram. But this game is still using UE3 a bit old don't ya think? . "Mass Effect Legendary Edition is running on the same Unreal Engine 3 as the original trilogy" Yet they recommend an 8 core 3700x or a 4 core 7700 LOL. The 3700x can run rings around the 7700 I think that's a typo haha.

CrimsonIdol1938d ago

I reckon people in this comment section are putting more thought into this spec sheet than EA probably did. I reckon it'll run just fine on most peoples computers

XxINFERNUSxX1938d ago

I agree too, but something is not right with those requirements 🙃

gamesR4fun1937d ago

yeh that blew me away too like wth the 7700 lines up with the 2700 a bit better but imho this game must be highly multithreaded if this is the recommended.

Profchaos1938d ago

If anyone is interested the original requirements for mass effect 3 which is the most demanding in the franchise are

Minimum Specifications:

Operating System: / , Win 7
Processor: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)
RAM: 1GB for / 2GB RAM for / Win 7
Disc Drive: 1x speed
Hard Drive: 15 GB of free space
Video: 256 MB* (with Pixel Shader 3.0 Support)
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c August 2009 (included)
* Supported chipsets: NVIDIA 7900 or better; ATI X1800 or better.
Please note that NVIDIA GeForce 9300, 8500, 8400, and 8300 are below minimum system requirements, as are AMD/ATI Radeon HD3200, HD3300, and HD4350. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.

Recommended Specifications:

Operating System: / , Win 7
Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)
RAM: 2GB for / 4GB RAM for / Win 7
Disc Drive: 1x speed
Hard Drive: 15 GB of free space
Video: AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB or greater / NVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB or greater
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c August 2009 (included)

So despite using the same engine there is a jump in requirements obviously because the game is now running native at 4k I just wish they had ported it to a newer engine as ue3 is pretty dated when we are on the cusp of getting ue5 based games over the next year or two but I understand why they made the decision the underlying code couldn't be ported without breaking things essentially costing a ton more to remake elements of the game that could easily break the games flow

Bought 3080 with 10900k for rtx and dlss, quite disappointed they didn't implement raytracing in this game.
