Sometimes games never get translated, leaving one little choice but to play it in the native language. It’s a daunting prospect, but it’s not necessarily as difficult as most think it is. Playing games in a foreign language can actually be fun; it’s just a matter of managing expectations and choosing the right kinds of games.

Since its release in 2016, the "Persona 5" series has won numerous game awards around the world and received enthusiastic support from everyone, with cumulative sales of over 10 million units worldwide.

SEGA and Atlus kicked off a pretty major Switch eShop sale this week with multiple titles at their lowest prices yet including Persona 5 Strikers, Sonic Mania, and more. The same also goes for Catherine: Full Body and slew of SEGA Ages titles.

Sega has released their financial integrated report for fiscal year ended March 2022, with sales updates for Persona and Shin Megami Tensei.
The Megaten series has been up there with Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy, for me. So glad people are checking out these games. I’m actually playing Persona 5 Royal right now. Just such a damn good game!
I'm brazillian, all games that I played were foreign. None are product of my culture, and only in recent years we have access to subs and translations do portuguese.
This kind of opinion came from spoiled people (like most US gamers) that think they are the center of the universe. That's just the reality for most people.
I was playing JRPGs with translated scripts to follow along with on PS1 when wide access of information and unlocked regions weren't things. It's barely an inconvenience now.
Still have Persona 2:Innocent Sin and the FF collections sitting on my TV stand as hard achieved RL trophies to my gaming past.
I played Tokimeki Memorial on my PS3 using a translation app once. I don't comprehend nearly enough Japanese to do it otherwise, but it was fun. I even got Shiori Fujisaki's ending. I never did that sort of thing since though, largely because it was still a lot of trouble, and it still hurt my brain as I was also trying to absorb some Japanese from doing that. I backlogged the multiple other digital PS1 bishoujo games I purchased, including Tokimeki Memorial 2 that's supposed to be a lot bigger.
