
2020 may now be behind us, but for lots of the world 2021 isn't shaping up to look much better. Sure that's a pretty glum outlook to share so early into the year, but with the UK back into full lockdown and many other countries also still suffering from recent world events, the planet is looking just as bleak today as it did six months ago. In light of that, we've collated 10 video games to help try and make things feel just a little less crap, if only for a couple of hours.

It certainly is, and if you’re not the owner of a Steam Deck or a beefier ROG Ally, this is, without a doubt, the best portable version of the game ever released. The flight mechanic makes traversal feel joyful rather than functional. Ninety minutes that leave a longer impression than most forty-hour campaigns.

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.
