In other words keep playing on your xbox one and one x. There still no valid reason to upgrade. Maybe next holidays... And You will get them cheaper

I love how everyone is always quick to say how a lot of these games being optimized are last gen like it's a bad thing when the average gamer probably has not played every single one of these games. I have a big backlog of games to still get through on both Xbox and PS4 so this is cool MS is doing this. I know people constantly want new games for Series X|S and PS5 as do I, but let's not act like the games listed are all bad to play now because they're now last gen games.

I fell like console gaming is becoming abit like the new pc graphics cards. More powerful ect but don't need it at launch had some games that show off its power but don't need one on day one anymore.

Look at both the ps4 and xbox series and they have nothing to shout about at the moment.

Even last gen was alittle like that. I feel with the 3 year cycle now being set as a standard console launch will be less and less hyped each time it happens.

Why anyone would buy an xsx instead of wait for more PS5s to become available is beyond me.

Define optimisations it's been said that a single improvement on last gen performance can be considered an optimisation so if Devs certify their games are optimised it might be something like it holds a steady fps or loads quicker in no way does it suddenly make the game a next gen game it just means you'll be better off playing it on a series X because the hardware handles the game better.

So for example rdr2 you won't suddenly get an unlocked frame rate and nothing is improved all that much so it's not optimised.
Cyberpunk is optimised as it runs at a locked 60 fps doesn't mean you have the next gen version

I don't really count optimised games as next gen games like this article does.

I'm actually enjoying going back to some older games that I gave up on initially when playing on a base Xbox One model. I bought Fallout 4 at launch, and really didn't like it. Graphics, resolution, responsiveness just made for a poor experience. Playing it again on Series X with mods, and I've found an entirely new appreciation for the game. Yeah, I'd love some new games to play, but I'm still enjoying the hell out of what I have now.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
