Can't wait for release date.

Switch owner but I am holding out for the PS5 version of this. Platinum’d Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition on PS4 and I was beyond impressed with how deep and engaging this world was. It’s a little bit too obtuse and the difficulty can be a turn off but there is so much to explore. It would have been better to not tie the compass to a charm slot and the game should have had a lore journal (since statues and areas have poetic clues that are very cryptic). This game almost requires a community and wiki to find everything.

I think the Hive was extremely underutilized so I hope to see the bees return to SilkSong. Also, I didn’t find the forced use of the gods trials for story content very fun. It’s frustratingly hard so having trophies tied to that wasn’t enjoyable. Still a 10/10 game for me. I’m sure there may still be things undescovered.

I'd never attempt platinum for this. Good going man. I really enjoyed the game although it was frustratingly hard. That stage with all the saws was crazy. When I finally reached the end of it I forgot to sit on the throne lol

Shame, no word on a release date or other platforms (apart from Switch).

Yeah, indie games selling better on the Switch has had a negative effect on the health of indie gaming for the last gen consoles during their final years - for one publisher in particular. Devolver Digital have done weird stuff before like not releasing Hotline Miami on Xbox but I'm really pissed that Katana Zero and Ape Out never came to PS4, and they didn't release Fall Guys on Switch or Xbox either. It's so lame.

Previous Supergiant Game releases came first to PlayStation and now Hades isn't even on PS4/PS5. I bought all their games besides Transistor because it was on PS Plus. And where's Baba Is You? Unless the publishers are paying for exclusivity, then anything beyond timed exclusivity is just weird. Sony and MS are investing money to attract indie developers (Haven, The Pathless, Scorn, Bugsnax, Maquette, The Medium, etc) but losing so many Devolver Digital releases really sucks.

2025 in Review: Winners and Losers

VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "Before we leave 2025 completely behind us and begin taking a closer look at the horrors that 2026 surely has in store, let's once again mull over the best and worst of the last year. As is more or less tradition by now, the winners side took ages to properly fill, while there was an abundance of choice for the losers, but to keep some semblance of balance I whittled both sides down to just five. Let's take a look, shall we?"

Good read.

“Phil Spencer made some rather curious statements following the layoffs, notably stating that ”our platform, hardware, and game roadmap have never looked stronger.” So the company is simultaneously the most successful it's ever been, while also firing people by the thousands. Its gaming division is supposedly stronger than ever, yet it's effectively gutted many of the studios that brought it success in the first place.”

This is how a textbook Makavelian society works, where the top dogs become more successful in terms of flair and pomp with soaring bank accounts, only to realize the foundation of the society is rotten and relatively close to collapse. According to former border patrol agent JJ Carell., in 2025 the US was the largest consumer of human in trafficking on earth, and that slavery in America was more popular last year than it ever was, even compared to back when slavery was actually legal in the 1800s. But activist today will blab about how happy they are. But activists today will blab about how happy and proud they are that slavery is technically illegal because they fundamentally fail to grasp how a Makavelian society functions.
