Through the first five weeks available worldwide the PlayStation 5 is ahead of the Switch and Xbox Series X|S by a fair margin. The PS5 is ahead of the Switch by 1.40 million units and is 1.72 million units ahead of the Xbox Series X|S.
The PS5 has sold 3.73 million in five weeks worldwide, while the Switch sold 2.33 million units and the Xbox Series X|S 2.01 million units.
Looking at the marketshare through five weeks, the PlayStation 5 currently leads. The PS5 has a 46.2 percent marketshare, the Switch sits at 28.9 percent, and the Xbox Series X|S at 24.9 percent.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

That's impressive considering I don't believe Sony has reported sales number and Microsoft doesn't. Even if we had those Xbox/PS should be called "number manufactured" since they'll both be selling every single system they make instantly u til mid 2021
First couple months only show how much a company is able to ship rather than the demand. They are out of stock and sold out everywhere in initial including the Switch (which is generally sold out at a lot of stores because of the production impact of COVID)
If you want to know abouy how much demand is left, check out the second place markets. Xbox Series have been selling for about $650-$800, Playstation 5's around $800-$1000, and Switches sell for about $300. Playstation has the most demand moving forward. I think Xbox Series will be sold for retail within the next month while Playstation may be until April or May.
