From GameWatcher: "Gods Will Fall doesn’t seek to reinvent the wheel but its parts could end up creating a sleeper hit. The narrative systems that gradually forge relationships between characters as they fail and succeed have lots of potential to drive interesting individual stories that extend into gameplay through buffs, nerfs and changes in attitude. Its subtle art style isn’t immediately striking but does make you warm up to it the longer you spend in its world. Naturally, a lot hinges on how smooth and tactile the combat will feel and how well developer Clever Beans balances difficulty and the frustration that’s often inherent to rogue-lite games. We’ll see exactly how that works out when Gods Will Fall launches on January 29, 2021."
"September's 2022 Games with Gold lineup includes the Xbox One titles Gods Will Fall and Double Kick Heroes, and through backwards compatibility, the Xbox 360 titles Thrillville and Portal 2. February's lineup provides over $66.96 dollars in value and up to 3000 in gamerscore."
Not a bad month. Thrillville and Portal 2 are fun and Double Kick Heroes looks like a blast.
Considering how expensive portal 2 still is in the store, and how rare the physical copies are these days, I'd say that's a good addition. It's also upgraded to 4K on the X consoles.
Don't know much about the other ones, but it looks like a better month than usual. Which probably says more about how bad it usually is.

Each week in 2022, the Epic Games Store will be giving away at least one new title for free. This week, you can grab the dungeon crawler Gods Will Fall.
Clever Beans has just revealed the brand new trailer for their final challenge for Valley of the Dormant Gods DLC in Gods Will Fall.
