Xbox have done a great job with the BC implementation methods, the games look and play so much better than they did on the xbox one, even without a TV that supports HDR, the colours seem so much more pronounced.

Can't wait to see how they will look on a 4K TV.

Agreed, honestly a lot of times hdr just blows out the whites too much for me on any of my 4K TVs that have it even after calibration. Sometimes games donit right but there are so many that don’t that I leave it off mostly after testing games

I think the leg work done for Bac Compat by Xbox during previous generation really is proof of why you see games look fantastic on Xbox Series X/S. I am glad that my digital and physical purchases will be look and play great moving forward.

I'm surprised he says PS4 games get a boost to virtual surround audio when running on PS5. I never noticed this myself and in fact I thought I noticed it wasn't the case. By comparison the PS5 games are phenomenal using tempest.

On my phone the images look better on series x, on my tv the other way around.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit19d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing19d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9219d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
