IGN : In an interview with IGN, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak said he hopes that Project 007 can be the start of a new trilogy while calling the Hitman dev's secretive project a "young Bond for gamers."
Well it's a UK property... So with that in mind politically correct bullshit will likely be a thing.
I hope bond is a minority but of British background, just so I can see the melt down of those specific “gamers”.
Can he be an Asian male at least, for some reason people think there's only 2 races in the universe. If the character used to be white, now he's black or vice versa. And somehow that's all the diversity they need, not people that are underrepresented. But yeah I like to think of Bond not as a person but as an identity or idea, like Joker where there might have been many others before.

No, Asians are white adjacent, so that would never happen, apparently, look at AC Shadows, that explains a lot.

IO Interactive are definitely one of my favourite developers out there.
I haven't researched any detailed numbers, but I really wish the HITMAN reboot has been a success so far for them. HITMAN 3 was just so good.
The James Bond game is definitely something I am looking forward to. Especially because I really find them to be little audiovisual wizards, as well.
I really am excited to see what they'll be able to pull off with current-gen, since I can imagine the James Bond game won't be releasing on PS4 and One anymore.
IO do some amazing things. This has potential to be amazing except for the "young bong gamers bit". Bond is an older dude, and was never meant for a young audience. I'm interested to see this young iteration and to see if they can make something that stays true to its roots without reinventing Bond and the IP. At least they did not pull a CDPR and baby up (both are literally on fire right now).
Nope and nope. Connery was 32 when he started the bond films. Lazenby was 29 in his 1 film. If you mean the books, OK, but I’ve been a bond fan since I was 6 and most dudes I know have been too. The point is that he’s supposed to be experienced and knowledgeable. I don’t want to see bond trying to figure out his favorite drink and where the clit is.
Im eager to see what they do, i hope it's not just reskinned Hitman, but id imagine it'd be at least similar
We’re yet to see more from new James Bond game Project 007, but I hope that the Hitman devs’ next title will be shown at Summer Game Fest.
I hope so but I wouldn't call the hitman games gunplay that exceptional infact combat is something they would need to massively improve for a bond game.
Details about the new James Bond game Project 007 are slim plot-wise, but Hitman developer IO Interactive has a chance to explore this piece of 007 lore.
Would be cool if you could choose from all of the Bond actors to play through the game with.
I'm fine with any direction they take it, honestly... I'm just excited to see how it's shaping up down the road. I just hope it doesn't borrow too heavily from their Hitman gameplay mechanics. I love those games, but I want to see a different approach for 007.
That's an interesting idea, each Bond with a specific skill set and stats giving the game a sort of RPG flavor.

What I like about the sound of this is because it’s a video game they can make Bond look almost exactly like Ian Fleming imagined him going off the drawings
I wonder if they'll go with a big actor instead just to draw in non-gamers and filthy casuals (as the kids say).
As you say though I'd prefer them go straight for the source material for the look.
I hope they do, it's a video game, this is the best chance to have a Bond that looks exactly the way Flemming pictured him.

Deathloop had like 3 songs made for the game and they were fantastic, even The Callisto Protocol had a theme song by King Elliot and it was beautiful.
