A new update for Bugsnax is now available, and it gives Steam players a brand-new way to experience the acclaimed adventure game in VR.
I played a bit of this on PS5 at launch and was really digging it. This is on sale for 9.99 on Steam for the next 48 hours, so it's a good time to experience it again in VR!
I hope they bring native support for PSVR2 players, but at the very least, they can run it off of their PCs now w the headset.
Really excited to jump into this tonight!
**Edit- I saw this on their Twitter, one of the devs said this about PSVR2:
"We don't have plans to port it to other platforms! Bugsnax was created using a custom game engine, so each port is time consuming. Our next game is in Unreal though, so future VR possibilities are muchhh easier"

yeah but I'm not re-buying the game to play it in VR. I don't care how cheap it is. That's just silly to me.
Did you actually buy it, or did you get it free on PS+ when the PS5 launched? I never actually had to pay for it.
Yea for me, I never finished it, so it's easily worth 9.99 to experience it in VR. I think that's a fair price to show support for more games to come to VR in the future.
But I understand if you played through it completely and don't want to hit it again. For me, many games become such a different experience in VR that I'll easily play them again. VR adds new life to everything.

shame that they don't include PSVR2 players considering this game was on the PS5 first.
definitely a win for VR! I tried it this morning, and it feels like this is how the game was always meant to be played. The controls translate very well.
Have this sitting in my library thanks to Plus, but I haven’t tried the game yet.
If there would have been a PSVR2 version then I would have more likely given it a go. As it is it may stay buried in my backlog a bit longer.

It’s a 10/10 for me. It doesn’t get enough love for sure. It’s way better than the rest of the games they listed except for Demons Souls.
Returnal was a masterpiece. That's what media outlets do, they misinform. Can't wait to see Housemarques next game. Got Returnal day 1. Gonna play it again now lol.
Kena was a good fun game. Also is Demon Souls really underrated? Stuck on the King🙄. Idk how this remake was received but I would think great. Anyway Demon Souls is a masterpiece as well.
@Raven Yeah. Demon's Souls was great on PS3 and PS5. Wonderful both times. I have no problem with a remaster that comes 2 (or more) generations later.
To this day one of the best games on PS5. One of the best uses of dualsense too (after Astro).
Returnal: Yes.
Destruction AllStars: Hell no.
List lost all credibility right there.

Returnal is still my favourite PS5 game. A really interesting concept and a fun as hell roguelike.

I beg to differ. Most of these did fall under the radar or didn't receive the recognition that they deserved.
Chernobylite, Terminator Resistance, (especially) Dying Light 2 , Evil West, Weird West, Bugsnax, Guardians of the Galaxy, Like a Dragon and Outriders (pretty much impossible to play solo) were all underrated in my opinion.
Each to their own though.
Only real next gen first game ps5 have is spiderman 2 and also star wars jedi survivor hopefully we get more next year
Nice launch game and lots of 8s and some 9s. Can’t lie, this next gen has me hyped for all these cartoony titles and platformers. Crash 4, Astro, Bugsnax, Ratchet, Kena... I love realism and mature titles but PS5 has my inner kid’s got the PSOne nostalgia back.
