Next gen launch games can be a mixed bag however as I learn more about the lore I am getting more interested in the game, I just hope all the lore translates into the actual game.

Walk in the park PC specs. It should run over 60fps/4k with a 3090 and with none of the sacrifices that consoles will make – like checkerboard rendering, etc.

All games have the option to turn off Ray-tracing for games that feature it. Otherwise you would destroy your games sales.

Just seen Series x vs RTX3080. Ray-tracing is much cleaner of the graphics card, but considering this is AMD'S first attempt, it's pretty amazing that all consoles owners will get that effect. Massive leap indeed.

Why would I want to play the Endgame content? 1/2 the fun is learning the systems and building your character up, This is dumb. A better, still a bit scummy solution would have been to give you the regular game and then force you to buy the end game content, cause I mean, do anyone really give 2 shits about the story in this game anyway? It's all about loot and character progression. If I did like the game, got stronger and then seen the DLC with all the cool endgame stuff, I might purchased because I'm a loot whore and have invested time in my character lol. They got tis backwards.

I was wondering. Is this special version available on every other platform for free or is this PSPlus exclusive? Because if it is exclusive then I don't mind the tactic. Always wanted to play it, and if Challenger Edition won't be enough, I will buy the proper version.

Not surprising from Gearbox, they are a bit underhanded. This reminds me of Driveclub on PS+, also a stripped version you could upgrade.

Can see this news had the desired effect, so many angry people here mad about something they had no interest for in the first place or they would have already owned the game. People have done nothing but rip this game apart and pan it into the ground and the story is right up there at the top as to reasons why now all of sudden everyone's upset they dont get the story they did nothing but criticize in the first place. Not missing much either way, from what I hear. This isn't the first scummy thing around this game though. Was presented, for a long time, as a PS5 (console) exclusive then, all of a sudden, it comes out like "oh. And here's also the PS4 version".

Gearbox trying to take advantage and make up for their crummy sales. Reaping royalties from PS+ while trying to get people to “upgrade” to Deluxe Edition. This is shady business and sales will continue to suffer. Sony should also be ashamed of themselves for promoting this crap.

So it's basically a demo. The game is a year old,so the full game should have been on PS+ instead with the option to purchase the dlc if one enjoys the game. I own the deluxe anyway.

Very disappointing and incredibly poor value for ps+ subscribers. Not much of an incentive to renew subscriptions.

For the Payers

I am going to say it, you guys really aren’t taking this for what it really is. A demo is a game that gives you a fixed position in a game with a limited amount of time without access to the core functions of the game.

This is not a Demo, you get maxed level cap(which circumvents the grind that I had to do through the story), it gives you all the hunts and boss battles (dream stone mode), let’s you unlock all models of characters, gives you the tower ascent mode(again the real meta of the game), and light bringer mode (a equipment grind mode to get super over powered equipment.)

This is not a demo by any stretch it’s just the multiplayer separated from the story. And you can simply buy the story mode if you want. But going through it and actually playing the game. The story is NOT necessary to the game at all.

Why people are calling this a demo and ignoring other games that have stripped the multiplayer from a game is ridiculous. You guys are spreading a false narrative on this game and if anything the only thing I think that sucks is it being locked behind PS Plus.

Even with that said if you actually PLAY the offering when it releases you will see you are getting a huge portion of this game and the thing people scream they want… OPTIONS.

This is how Sony say Thank you to all PSPlus subscribers out there. While you guys will say "oh this is the decision from the developer". the hard truth is that Sony has paid for the time exclusive right to this game. So I imagine Sony will have at lease some decision power over the pricing scheme on this game within the exclusive period.

As much as I personally think the game sucks, This is a pretty terrible thing to do and adding insult to injury make it a Plus game.....go pound sand Sony with that trash. I would rather have a Full AA game or an indie, than this half measure approach.

I don't understand all this moaning (everywhere not just here). You're getting the entire game minus the story and the Fire & Darkness expansion. And in case you didn't know, there's basically no story in this game. It opens up with the cutscene you saw in the reveal, the main character says 'he was betrayed' and goes on to kill millions of the same enemy types in the exact same rooms (with different colours) till last boss then says 'it's over.' Not exactly something anyone would miss or like to experience.

Everyone made it clear to the developer that the story content sucks big time, and they are sparing you the suffering (through scummy tactics, of course, that's just business).

Everyone needs to comment on PlayStation website saying it here isn't gonna let them know how we feel you should also send a tweet to there twitter account.

Rubbish this Version of Godfall is the challenger version they said that from beginning it's a cut down version of the full game it usually retails for £15 in fact it's free on Epic now the challenger version.

But we get demos instead of full games. Booooo!

While horseshit I can see what they were going for. The biggest complaint about the game is it's campaign, many people simply stopped playing it because of that, from what I've been told by someone who played it, it has two cutscenes in the entire campaign, everything else is told by exposition dump when you hand in one of the four types of quests. Everything is just 'Go here, kill these, kill miniboss, return' It's simply a grind for items and levels to be able to do the endgame.

I was pissed off when I heard this too but on the other hand if the endgame is the actual fun part and the lore is basically "Evil guy trying to take over the tower, plz stop him" then I don't know if my friends and I would even get that far to try it. They probably don't want millions of people trying their game and thinking "Wow this campaign is shite" and then never getting past it or buying another game of theirs.

I'm conflicted though because I also don't want to support the idea that games shouldn't be fun and can release piecemeal; when games are given through ps+ they should be decent to good offerings that are designed to appeal to a simple majority of players, not massaged into some semblence of playability.

Yeah this is Bull. The game wasn’t even well received. This on top of Asia getting an extra game is a bit of a slap in the face. I won’t be downloading it. If it were the full game I was gonna at least check it out.
