I probably won't ever use half the features they've shown. I like the separation of the games and media apps on the homescreen though. The integration of the PS Store into the UI also seems like a good change to me. It's hard to judge just by looking at it. Gotta try it out and see how it feels.

WOW finally the UI lets you see who is online much easier like the Xbox Dashboard, i love it! For some reason i have always been more partial to the XBOX Dashboard, but this UI i shaping up to be exactly what i wanted out of this next gen move on PS5! This is great! Also, finally get in progress status of Trophies which XBOX has had for quite some time, much needed facelift for the PS UI. The Trophy help side by side feature is incredible too! Really like where this is headed.

what we find out from the video
-in-game activity progress percentages, trophies % without entering a different app, watch friends game or watch how to proceed in a game you are stuck without a PC, both can be viewed in pause mode or while you play seeing both screens for easier access (friends gameplay you can, not sure if walkthroughs work that way but you can resume where you paused with a button).
- you can touch a activity from a game and go there right away instead of you going there yourself, saving time.
-Games tell you how much time in average a person needs to do a activity which is very welcome to gamers with low free time.
-Send pictures to groups so you can share/get advice from people who played the game.
-You can send messages with voice instead of typing it as dualsense comes with microphone.
-up to 4k screenshots and video that you can edit (is this new?)
-jump to a games activities even from the menu (no need to boot the game first to see activities)
-PlayStation Store is now "fully integrated" into PS5, meaning no delay when you access it
and they said they had more to share.

Looks awesome I’m hyped. Kinda bummed they didn’t go into the store at all but just being integrated into the console instead of the app is a really good start.

Hopefully they've kept folders. With Sony you never know if you might have to wait a year or two for features to be re-added

Very neat. I like the screen share feature where you can watch what your friends are playing whilst playing your game.

Picture-in-Picture would be great for trophy hunters. Like bust that open to watch a collectibles guide or something instead of having to pause the game and watch a YouTube vid on a computer.

They didn't show it, but I hope they didn't get rid of the option to use the gyroscopes for typing by motion when sending messages. I'm not a fan of talking to things, but I am a huge fan of the gyroscope text entry option on PS4.

This came out of nowhere!! I love what I see so far!! I like that the resolution of everything displayed in & a part of the UI is bright,sharp & vivid. This really looks next-gen. God willing my pre-order will come through as plan & I'll be picking the PS5 up Nov 12th!!

That was surprisingly impressive.

I was just expecting new colors and animations and we got a complete Net-Gen overhaul.

I love the info for completionists, the way you can chat with the dualsense's mic and how you can see your friends play using PIP.

Am I the only one that noticed we don't have to close the app when switching games now? This is all sleek, I love the trophy (help) system, this is a game changer. As a former trophy hunter, i'm def. coming out of retirement (Mile Morales) will be the first of many next generation, it's only fitting because Spider Man was my last plat.

This is an interesting design for the interface that is a little more complex than the Xbox so newcomers may feel intimidated at first but once they get used to it, they may not want to go back to the one on PS4. This we have learned today are:

1) Each game will have tiles for each level that you start with completion progress.
2) Some level will show video hints that can be pinned on the screen or in a side by side view.
3) You can now join parties without leaving the game screen as it now appears as a small tile on the corner of the screen.
4) You can now share your screen with your party members and other players can pin the shared screen to a corner and watch while they do their own thing.
5) Joining your friend's games are now faster thanks to the SSD.
6) You can now capture screenshots without leaving the game and it seems you can also edit them.
7) The store is now integrated into the home screen to allow for faster access to the content.
8) You can now use voice to text for messages to spend less time typing with a controller.
9) The ps5 can protect you from spoilers that may be potentially shared by your first.

I would like to know if you can now transfer captured files to your other devices such as your phone.

I get that everyone here loves PlayStation and I’m admittedly an Xbox guy primarily, but this looks like a convoluted mess to me. Are you guy legitimately impressed by this or are you just displaying your fanboy?

Bringing up the in game guide is a series of giant icons that go off the side of the screen, with like 10 smaller icons below that to access other features. Meanwhile the actual Home Screen has a few icons on top and it’s 90 percent wasted space.

I’ve never been a fan of PS UI design, but my god it’s like they keep getting worse each gen.

Interesting to see sony implement the much mocked "snap" feature from the old xbox one ui. Admittedly, with those jaguar cores it didn't work quite as well as intended on xb1, and thanks to the new cpu it will no doubt work much better on ps5, but interesting to see them implement the feature nonetheless. The "command centre" also looks remarkably like the "guide menu" the nxoe brought to xb1 in 2016. I'm not saying it's 1 way btw, I mean XSX has a share button ffs, but it's interesting to see which features each platform decides to make their own version of and which they don't.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
