It wasn't confirmed to be the 6900 XT, but all things suggest it to be especially since this lines up with the Igro's lab rumor from about a month ago, that pretty much nailed performance to be right between 2080ti / 3070 and RTX 3080, but closer to the 3080, which these benchmarks practically confirm.

It also said they were looking at a $599 price for the GPU, which would offer a potential highly competitive GPU that's $100 less than the 3080, and $100 more than the 3070, but much closer in performance to the 3080 than the 3070 in most games. Which overall is a solid spot to be in.

That being said AMD needs a fallout win, and not a solid spot to be in, because NVIDIA still likely has the Ray Tracing advantage, and the other benefits of their architecture for editing, and non-performance related things likes broadcasting.

So here's hoping AMD has their software together, their drivers together, and the supply together to cover gamers for the holiday as NVIDIA is likely launching the 3070 and having minuscule supply for the remainder of the year.

If AMD can produce a healthy supply for the holidays then they might make a small dent in NVIDIA's armor with the 6900 XT on the high-end, and bring a value battle to NVIDIA across the mid-range as well with the rumored performance and prices of the 6000 XT line.

6900 XT, $549 - $599, around 10% - 15% less performance than the RTX 3080
6800 XT, $399 - $499, around RTX 2080 ti performance
6700 XT, $299 - $349, RTX 2070 super performance

If they can safely hit the $549, $399, and $299 prices, and have a stable supply, then AMD has a holiday win on their hands, but I expect them to be at the higher prices of $599, $449, and maybe $299, which would still be good especially since NVIDIA doesn't have supply.

Waiting for one of those, tbh. I am sure it'll be at least $50 below a comparable RTX30 series. Hopefully lower power, too. Probably not going for the top tier. Want <250W and <$500. That would probably be the 6800XT. 1440@100fps over brute force 4k@60, tbh.

AMD no longer wants to be the underdog. Expect the same prices as Nvidia's and Intel's from now on.

Apparently, Division 3 is launching next with DLSS like implementation from AMD. That's what I have heard from my sources. Don't take my word for it.

Allegedly their GPUs are better than Turing at RT, but not up to par with Ampere which makes sense considering they had years to learn from Turing and create something with the advances in tech during that time. They also will have some form of machine learning to compete with DLSS, however, this is where they will definitely be behind, as I think they will be starting from a DLSS 1.0 level of performance and playing catchup with NVIDIA on this.

According to the leaks that is.

I mean to be fair AMD has been spot on with the information they have been providing for quite a while. Yes, it'll be nice to get independent reviews but let's not drag AMD through the mud when their track record on Zen and RX have been very accurate.

I’ve got an RTX 2070 Super also. I would say you’ve got a good card and very good cooling system. The cards themselves are known to run hot and loud. I can get my MSI Armor to run at @2040mhz max with a lot of tinkering and new paste but the cards hellova loud and hot over about 1900mhz.

Although the thermal limit is set at 88’c my card will not allow it to go past 79’c. It can hit that pretty quick and then it’ll just keep clocking down to keep it from going above that.

They’re easy as loud as the PS4 jet engine if not louder!

Well their RT solution should be the same as or improved from the consoles. But I would be happy to pay a little less for a little less RT as long as the base performance when using traditional post processing techniques was solid.

RT is a complete after thought for me at least.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
