This is stupid, why in the world would the games start costing more when you are not doing more, Take a PC game Like Battlefield or Call of duty, is that PC game doing more on consoles... NO...!

-It's the same game with the graphics turned down to get it to run on consoles, and most of the features turned down... Now your game can finally do things it was doing on the PC for years, because the Console has more power, will it beat a High-end PC game in graphics and power.... NO..!

-The PC still has more power, a Nvidia RTX 3090 will run circles around consoles... how is your game harder to make, it's not, your just able to now bring it closer to the PC version... That does not justify a price increase, it's actually a robbery to try to increase the price for that reason, as PC games will not be raised in price. And PC is the harder target, The PC version has no limits.. And yet it cost less....

So saying you need to charge higher for a weaker version of the PC game is silly.. If your game is just designed for the PS5 from the ground up, then ok maybe then we can understand your argument but when it's on all platforms like Codemasters games with the PC being the top bar... Stop, just stop it, with the silliness..

This has nothing to do with so Called Nex-Gen.. Nex-Gen is just giving consumer consoles some more power to handle 4k and better graphics it's not giving us bigger and better games... it's the same game, just looks better..

High-End PC will still be the bar for these games...
-How can a weaker version of the game cost more money, that's just greed...

"This is stupid, why in the world would the games start costing more when you are not doing more,"

It's called inflation.

Do you know how much a soda cost 20 years ago? 10? Are we getting more soda for the higher price? Replace soda with practically any other food item.

Do you get raises every year at work? Are you doing more and more each year or

weird how there was no inflation from 2001 to 2020 in video games...( or earlier if you consider the N64's 60$ games). maybe you're too young, but I'm old enough to remember DLC being a thing to stop inflation with video game prices. Now we get the "best" of both worlds. Expensive base games that are 1/3 complete and hundreds of dollars of DLC to actually enjoy your purchase. Special thanks to all the morons who paid for GTA:O DLC these past years. You really convinced them to hold nothing back this time.

Did you forget that PS2 and Xbox games were $50 and then jumped to $60 when the PS3 and 360 launched in 2005 and 2006?

It would be naive to assume people would purchase your products blindly, please EA make Fifa 21 cost £74.99+ cause those morons have been buying your titles for years.
