PS - Yes, I doubt Batman is really dead. I think most of us were expecting to be playing (the majority of the game) as Batman again.

I am weary, only because Batman is not in the game. Having a full co-op story to play in a third-person game is going to be an awesome experience. Having this and Avengers would be a nice tandem.

It could be Batman is dead in one universe maybe this game takes place in another universe that's generally how comic books work.

Because the devs decided to make a game that kind of acts as a sequel while being set in a different universe (which you'd think would remove the need for a game to acknowledge any kind of Arkham continuity, especially given that it ignores entire swaths of the rest of it, but whatever I guess). I get the sense the dev team had a long debate over what kind of game they should make before deciding to end the discussion by just trying to do all of it (while likely failing to implement any of it well).

My concerns don't just extend to the plot either. I'm sure the game will play like an amalgamation of ideas too.

One thing I'm a little lost on is this a sequel to Arkham Knight? Or is it it's own thing?

Batman never actually dies (Bruce Wayne technically), in both the Arkham verse and Dark Knight trilogy Bruce always fakes his death and essentially retires the batman. Would be pretty weird for Batman to actually be dead lmao

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
