I’m amazed that this is now a 5 year old game, this gen feels like it’s barely just got going.
Good review, but mostly struck that we take it as read that a game that has a stated length of “8-12 hours (main story), 15-20 hours (story + side content and trophies)” is talked about as a short game.
That’s because we’re still playing damn PS4 games. This is hands down the worst generation I’ve ever experienced. It used to be that when a generation came along it was a new era of gaming. The PS2 era wasn’t cross-gen’ing with PS1 and PS1 wasn’t, uh… well, you get the picture.
Can’t wait to buy a PS6 to play a majority of PS5 games.
That's why people bought the Switch 2, to buy a brunch of upgraded Switch 1 games... This gen as been so awful, hopefully it will be somewhat saved, by the end of this gen by eastern and indie Devs with games like Wukong, Stellar Blade, expedition 33.and some future releases
I agree regarding the comments about game length. On a whole, the length of a game is a rather superficial way of judging it's value for money.
And it's also very subjective. For me, under 8 hours feels like a short game. 8-20 hours is a 'good length'. Anything more I consider to be a long game (and if I'm not really invested, long games risk me losing interest quickly).
I’m with you, 6-10 hours is pretty much my sweet spot, and with the amount I game now being a lot less than when I was a kid, that still equals probably 2-3 weeks of gameplay.

Weird the only one of those I wanted to play was Cyberpunk and even then I am planning on cancelling my discounted pre order... I think I am too stressed out to enjoy gaming anymore...
I used to think Cyberpunk was my most anticipated game. After TLOU2 and GoT.....Cyberpunk has huge shoes to fill.
And I'm still expecting Cyberpunk to be awesome. Great year in gaming (for some).
If everything goes to plan these should all be pretty good. Though I admit it feels weird getting really excited when the state of the world is what it is.
Spider-Man is the only game that appeals to me, thankfully I can just play more retro games this year, which are honestly more enjoyable for me than modern day GAAS grind-fests.
I'm interested in everything except Halo:Infinite & WD:Legion.
