iPod Touch Better for Gaming than an iPhone

Loot Ninja writes:

"One might assume that the iPhone, iPhone 3G, 1st generation iPod touch and the 2nd generation iPod touch all have the same equipment under the hood but Handheld Games Corp. is able to prove otherwise. In a recent demonstration to prove that their game works on all of Apple's devices, they serendipitously discovered that the 2nd generation iPod touch was much faster in loading the game."

Rare occurrence, indeed my friend!

dubbalubagis6420d ago

Yes it is. The only reason I could think of for Apple not to disclose this information is that they don't want to hurt the sales of the iPhone but I just don't see how the iPod touch and iPhone are even in competition. This information would actually help customers who are on the fence about purchasing a new iPod touch over their old one. I want a 2nd generation touch just because of this information!

I'm thinking about getting an iPhone for Christmas. Any advice?

Elimin86420d ago

There is a lot more going on in the iPhone I guess. so sounds logical....... with it being a phone N all...

ambientFLIER6420d ago

Killjoy: Yeah, don't get it. Don't be one of those "trendy" dorks with a barely useful phone that has less features than many other cheaper touchscreen phones.

Also, you avatar looks like a nipple.

dubbalubagis6420d ago

It's a Godsmack album cover, not a nipple.

Is there such a thing as a "trendy dork"?

Killjoy30006420d ago (Edited 6420d ago )

I'm absolutely anti-apple, so this is a rarity that I'm even considering buying one. My friend has one, and it's amazing.

And, BTW, my avatar represents one of the greatest hard rock album ever made, so how about you go listen to the Jonas Brothers.

And Dubb, thank you.

My iPhone I use for phone and email purposes, games are just an added bonus. If I had a touch that would be used for gaming.

taz80806420d ago

As the iphone gets more popular I wonder if it will develop its own version of fanboys as well as the other consoles have?

greyishfox6420d ago

Applefanboys? Don't you look in the mirror? of course they are out there its the famous PC vs MAC. PSP vs DS. Now iPhone vs All mobile content ever.

dubbalubagis6420d ago

I am an Apple fanboy, there I said it!

MIA6420d ago

Question though, who in their right mind, would get the iphone for talking and would also buy the itouch just for gaming. I pity the fool!

taz80806420d ago

Yeah I doubt the battery life of either makes it a viable option when compared to a DS. My iphone is great but i dont want to kill my battery playing blackjack in case I need to make a call.

greyishfox6420d ago

Def may need to purchase a touch as my new ipod soon. Gaming is clutch considering my girlfriend constantly steals my DS. Now I know the iPhone is out of the picture.

taz80806420d ago

LOL @ stolen DS, might be cheaper for you to get her a pink DS though.

Probably down to the high cost of gaming. Controllers and racing wheels can cost as much as consoles.

Reaper22_70d ago

This is why there will always be competition in gaming. The possibilities to make huge profits is just too enticing.

Pokémon Go Championship Winner Title Revoked for ‘Unsportsmanlike Conduct’

The winner of the Pokémon Go Championship grand finals in Orlando was stripped of their title, allegedly for 'unsportsmanlike conduct' during their victory celebration. The celebration involved the winner removing their headset, standing up, and pumping their fists before shaking hands with their opponent. Many believe the ruling was excessive and that winner's victory celebration was tame compared to celebrations by winners in other competitive games.

gold_drake76d ago

lol wut.

since when is bumping fists "unsportsmanlike".

Inverno76d ago

There are people that get offended seeing others just enjoying a moment, or enjoying a hobby, or just having fun.

SethNW76d ago

Can someone explain to me what is so problematic with this? I watched video multiple times and all I see dude having bit of celebration. None of his actions felt aggressive or seem like they symbolize anything... Like winning sure deserves bit of celebration like that. I mean who wants to live in the world where you aren't allowed to be excited or have bit of burst of happiness when you win? Like was he supposed to act like emotionless robot? He should be allowed to have bit of his victory "hell yeah" moment, even if it is before shaking hands with opponent. Like it is not like he didn't shake hands or whatnot. And it is not like he is like some super serious government official to have to stick to protocol to a letter. This whole thing is just ridiculous.
