I the hope this game gets a patch to take advantage of the PS5 hardware.

itsmebryan2154d ago

The better question will it be free update or a full price "remastered"?

Brazz2154d ago

99% sure it will be free upgrade.

Sony confirmed over 100 PS4 games will be patched for PS5. Nice troll attempt though.

Jin_Sakai2154d ago

It’s crazy to think PC players will be enjoying a better version of Horizon than PS4 owners. Why hasn’t Sony shown a PS5 version? Come on Sony!

ocelot072154d ago

I am tempted to buy the Pc version. However, I think ill wait a month and see what happens. They want people to buy the PC version. Then announce a PS5 patch a month or so after the PC release.

Sunny123452154d ago

Lol. Getting hyped for a 5 year old game ? Every multiplat game performs better and will perform better on pc.

MWH2154d ago

I'm confident there will. there will also be a patch for Bloodborne.

ocelot072154d ago

That I doubt. They didn't give it a pro patch. I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it will happen.

Teflon022154d ago

Bloodborne I don't count on happening lol. If it does, I'd be amazed.

Army_of_Darkness2154d ago

Pc gamers are gonna be in for a delicious visual treat considering how gorgeous the game already looks on the pro. If they patch this game on the ps5 running in 4k/60fps. Total eyegasm!

Daniel21832154d ago

Hopefully 4K 60 . Been waiting to play this . Is the new one coming to pc ?

isa_scout2154d ago

It will launch for PS5 in 2021(hopefully) so I'd say maybe in 2023. There's been no PC announcement though.

There would be no point in briningin Horizon 2 to PC, as the main reason the first is even on PC is to convert PC users over to PS5 to play the new one. If Horizon 2 ever landed on PC, it would be after almost everyone who wanted to play it already had and when sales were almost nothing so maybe 3-4yrs down the line if ever.

roland822154d ago

That sounds more like wishful thinking than facts. Sony is no doubt testing the waters with pc. It’s possible more PlayStation exclusives will make its way to the pc

Vengeance11382154d ago (Edited 2154d ago )

@roland82 that in itself sounds like wishful thinking. More PS exclusives may come to PC yes, but never on Day 1 but only after sales have completely dried up. PS exclusives on PC is nothing more than testing conversion rates over to PS.

Not to mention how porting a PS5 exclusive over to any other platform would present technical hurdles due to having an inferior SSD than the custom PS5 one. It was already confirmed that the custom SSD in PS5 is YEARS ahead of anything PC is capable of.

PS5 SSD was already beat on PC. - Samsung 980 Pro SSD - supports speeds of up to 6.5GB/s. -

by the time next gen games are released it will already be considered "off the shelf hardware" on pc.

Vengeance11382153d ago

@Tech5
6.5GB/sec is very much inferior. PS5 SSD supports up to 9GB/sec. Try again. This won't be topped for years.

Guess this is is more-less what we could expect to get from that free PS5 patch.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

dveio28d ago

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing28d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit28d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing28d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9228d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
