Somehow, we now live in a world in which Sonic Forces has become the second most downloaded PS Plus game of all-time.

The divide between both iterations of Sonic is now reaching spin-off territory, and the way Sega is handling it is both a blessing and a curse.

Game Rant Writes "Sonic Forces is now five years old, and while it has plenty of flaws, there are things the 2017 release handles well enough to affect future games."

Sega aims to release 2D Sonic games alongside the 3D ones each year, but it's questionable how the company plans to continue this trend.
I downloaded it and played it. I had fun it was the first Sonic game I had played since generations.
I had fun with the game. I grew up playing Sonic game so I can look past a lot of 3D Sonics flaws. I spent a lot of time unlocking gear for my various created characters. Odd it's the 2nd most downloaded PS+ game how ever.
Got it cheap on the Switch I like you can design your character and I haven't touched a Sonic game since Sonic Adventures on Dreamcast.
It just goes to show how out of touch with reality the vocal minority are on the internet. People saying it was a crap addition to the lineup and that no one wanted it.
I downloaded it, started playing it and thought... okay, this isn't so bad. Why all the hate? ......then I got to the terrible character creator and suddenly I'm shooting flames. Ugh.
