Switch lets me play games in my bed, on trips, on planes.
PS5 will let me play the deepest stories with no load times.
XSX will let me play some 20-or-so years of games and more to come in their best quality, and even on PC for their own games day-and-date.

Based on the amount of green light emitted by that logo, I'd say YES this has got to be a game changer! Knowing that MS has put their world-class reputation for high quality on the line with this amazingly bright logo makes me just want to eat their games up! Yum yum! Both for me with Xbox first and PS5 later. Super hyped for Halo Infinite and surprises. July can't come soon enough.

The slower SSD should not be a factor. Mind you I'm not buying either console but I'm always following any tech. Mostly a PC gamer with a Switch. Back to the slower SSD compared to the PS5's. Devs are not going to gimp performance on the Series X. I'm sure they will make it seem that the slower SSD is not really a factor. They will have some tricks I'm sure to make it seem as fast as the PS5's even though the Series X's SSD is probably based on PCIE 3.0 which is not slow at all, 4.0 is faster but 3.0 is still great now.

Probably no more of a "gamechanger" than any other MS marketing. I'm getting a PS5 regardless. MS needs to convince me I need a XSX too, and it's going to take more than a logo.

Weren't console games this generation optimised for PS4 though??

This is probably just paying a few bucks so devs don't optimise games for the biggest user-base, which MS knows will be PS5. Sony has momentum and they have a greater number of desirable exclusive franchises.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
